my understanding is a warez was a "paid" app, and that is why the Navigon thread was around for a year before they took it down. They explained in the thread it was being locked and removed because Navigon was finally put up for sale in the marketplace. Now, you can go ahead and argue that yes you are paying for the Nokia app by purchasing the phone but I don't believe XDA would consider posting the Nokia Drive a warez (just my opinion from what Ive seen since Ive been here for years and years).... any more then they consider any app pulled from other phones warez. If we can freely install LG and HTC software from this site on a Samsung phone and samsung and LG software on an HTC phone etc etc how is this any different? These programs are made JUST for that specific handsets right?
Regardless, we can talk about it till we're blue in the face and not accomplish anything. A moderator will come in eventually and clear up any confusion and if/when the app is posted if its a ware then then the post will be removed. Till then I think we have to sit patiently and wait and see what happens.
Edit: Navigon was removed not just because it was finally released into the marketplace as a paid app BUT because the free version was hacked to have the "premium" features in it. So one can assume that if the version of Nokia Drive is posted and not altered then... well...
I've contacted andyharney a moderator to ask for clarification on the topic. So we should know soon.
