Check If you have QUALCOMM boot loader in your phone. If you do have, then go into osbl mode and reinstall your rom or install any new rom using lumia 710 downloader...

thanks this worked for me. however i had to use NSS PRO 0.48 instead of 0.51 as 0.51 did not preform the first step for some reason (looked like it ran, then phone just rebooted into regular mode). Im running Windows 7 x64 via Apple Bootcamp

I had upgraded to 7.8 with the SevenEighter previously, and I had no problem using this to install Rataplan 9.1

i bought my lumia 710 before 1 year..i didnt find any working easy solution to unlock my phone..but this works easily..thanks a lot mate..this method now unlocked four 710 lumia mobiles..
now my doubt is everytime i have to install new type custom rom through this method only uh??
after this method my nokia dload downgraded to qualcom bootloader??
cant i update my phone through zune anymore??
where can i download patched games..
pls help me..:angel:

And you cannot update your phone via zune anymore.
For downloading xap files of various games and apps, I use filecrop. Most of the files are available there.

I've successfully unlocked my Lumia 710 and flashed Rataplan V6.0 to my phone! Everything's working great, except I need to figure out my APN settings to get MMS working again. :L

The only suggestion I'd make for your Layman's guide is to make sure to let everyone know that they will lose anything that isn't backed up! Pictures, SMS, some contacts that aren't on your SIM etc. It may be common knowledge to some, but I didn't know. It's no big deal for me though.

It is pretty obvious that you will loose everything (same as firmware upgrade); unless you hvae taken back up...

There are 3rd party utilties available to take back up for all the content, including SMS and save games (WP Back UP).

If you are careful enough, it will be done without any problem.

If the problem persists try the following steps:
1. Reboot your phone and computer and try again.
2. Uninstall all thje previous instants of the utilities used in the procedure; reinstall them once again and try again.
3. Try using the previous versions of NSS Pro (preferably 4.8 ) and try again

If the problem still persists, try after a couple of days (weird, but works for me)

NB: all these tools are not official, so I cannot guaranty it to work all the time, even I have faced the same issue many times. .

Never come across this...

Possibility:

1. Reinstall the ROM/Firmware once again. If it is a firmware issue should be fixed.
2. If it does not, it is a harddware issue. Go to your nearest Nokia Care Centre and get it Fixed. (if you are using custom rom, you'll lose the warranty anyway)

1. You can keep one ROM on your Computer and use it to flash. You don't have to use others (unless you want to try).

2. Yes, your phone will be on Qualcomm Bootloader, You can boot into NAND Disk mode, and it is dangerous, so never try.

3. You can sync your phone using ZUNE. as fas as firmware update is concerned, you would not want to lose your MOD. You can still use ZUNE to update the firmware.

4. As far as Patched games concerned, I would suggest you go to MarketPlace, you can find bunch of good games there. Support the developers. IF they don't get paid they will stop developing games for your phone.

Note: Having a custom ROM means the phone is unlocked and You can use 3rd party apps. But as the Windows Mobile is growing fast (not to forget WP8 and WP8.1), their applications are easily available on illegal site (We are not supposed to share the location; but ou can find easily using search).

Be careful that you do not download any application which is designed for WP8 or WP8.1; chances are it will not work on WP7.8. If you try installing them, it will not hamper your phone; but cannot guaranty over it as well...

NOTE 1: using filecrop to download applications is dangerous. Now that the WindowsPhone is growing applicaitions for WP8 and WP8.1 are also available there. And trying to install them on your phone is risky.

NOTE 2: We are in liberty not to share the method how to use 3rd party applications to install the applications.
