It's so quiet here. What's the battery drain of your device? My HD+ is running CM10.1/SGT 7 SD/Hybrid. It lost 5% after 8 hr with WiFi on.
Enable 'settings->status bar->brightness control' then you can control brightness by sliding across status barIs there an even faster way to control display brightness as by
- Slide down
- touch brightness
- move slider ?
As the NOOK lacks of a brightness detector this seem to me of importance.
As an idea, maybe just 3 fix settings (min med max) that can be toogled (best with a Hardware key combination (press Volume butten long ?).
Take care if you device has been set to lowest brightness and you are in bright sunlight. You will have trouble to change setting blind ...
Sorry if I missed an according post - this is all new to me, and I just started reading.
Sorry, that is the same mechanism that I described above. No chance to do so with a completly dimmed NOOK out in the sun - as you can't see anything on displayEnable 'settings->status bar->brightness control' then you can control brightness by sliding across status bar

No, it's not. You don't need to see anything to use it. Just touch in the center near the upper screen edge and slide.Sorry, that is the same mechanism that I described above. No chance to do so with a completly dimmed NOOK out in the sun - as you can't see anything on display![]()
Sorry, that was a misunderstanding. So if I get it right, bokbokan has describe how to enable this control mechanism and you how to use it.No, it's not. You don't need to see anything to use it. Just touch in the center near the upper screen edge and slide.
Play with it some in better lighting to get the feel, but I've used just that a few times when taking the Nook outside.
Even I couldn't see any brightness slider setting on my CM10.1 (Verygreen).Sorry, that was a misunderstanding. So if I get it right, bokbokan has describe how to enable this control mechanism and you how to use it.
Will test this later.
Other question is regarding USB:
I can't see anything happen if I connect the device with my PC. I would expect that I get a new drive at PC side.
I checked both normal and forced mode.
I have observed that LED below is sometimes green, sometimes yellow - but Battery always shows, that there is no charging.

Edit:
Again regarding Brightness: I don't get it.
I can set Icons in both Status bar (right) and notification bar (Left). I get this bars by sliding down.
I set the Icon in Notification bar to toogle between dimm, 50% and 100%.
But a slider (left/right or up/down) to adjust brightness - I can't set.
Setting/System/Status bar/ : there I have just Display Time, Batterystat, Notification counter.
Possibly you are not using my cm10.1/sgt7 rom.Sorry, that was a misunderstanding. So if I get it right, bokbokan has describe how to enable this control mechanism and you how to use it.

I just installed CM 10.1 as well and had this problem this morning. When I tried to unlock it, it showed the screen as unlocked then flashed and back to the lock screen. Instead of rebooting, I swiped down the quick settings and went to the settings screen. It flashed again and back to lock, but I went to settings again and it worked (not flashing anymore). Then I was able to swipe to unlock normally. I'm not sure if this would work every time, but it's worth a try.Hi,
I bought a Nook HD+ and promptly installed CM 10.1. for the most part it seems pretty stable, I've had a few reboots but nothing major - what I do keep getting though is the tablet locking and then when I try to swipe off the lock, it flashes for a second and then returns back to the locked screen. The only way around this is a reboot.
Its not a major problem but is a bit aggravating!
Has anyone else experienced this with the 12/7 Rom and is there a way to resolve it??
Thanks in advance
I had the similar problem due to the cover. Please see page 22 in this thread.I just installed CM 10.1 as well and had this problem this morning.
