First post but avid stalker/reader of posts. Thanks to everyone here on XDA I was able to flash and root my nexus 6 previously...

SCENARIO: I was watching an MP4 movie in HD (1080p) using the Huawei videos app. I've been able to play this same file using Quickpic or the Google photos app with no issues previously. I was also able to play a 1080p movie in MKV format using Video Player All Format (by Inshot, Inc.) without issue just the previous day (other apps couldn't play it with sound). It did heat up the phone more than normal but nothing unbearable.
Anyway, watching the MP4 movie suddenly the sound goes out and the screen goes black. I still had 30% power so it wasn't a battery issue. Tried the fingerprint sensor, no response. Power button single click, no response. I waited a few seconds and tried the power button again, no response. Tried long press power button, I got a vibrate and a screen light up, but that's it. No Huawei logo, no android logo. A little note here: The phone heats up really bad at this point. Especially the fingerprint sensor area, almost to the point of burning my finger. After a while it dies again. I charge it using it's OEM cable connected directly to a wall socket for an hour.

Troubleshooting done: Tried the power & volume-, I get a vibrate and screen light up but nothing else. no Huawei logo or Android Same with power & volume+. Basically I can't get into recovery mode. Next up was plugging it to my laptop USB. Same buttons, same results. Huawei's Hisuite was no help.
Tried installing ADB and MTP drivers, even the microsoft MTP porting kit. Android-platform-tools as well. Hisuite could now detect the phone but it was requiring authorization, which wasn't showing up as a popup screen.
Command line "ADB devices" shows 1 device connected ONLY when I held down power & vol+ until I felt two vibrations. Even then the device was labeled unauthorized and I couldn't get into "ADB reboot recovery" or "ADB reboot-bootloader" were a no go. Phone stuck in light up screen but no animation or picture at all.

I'm interested if there's any way at all to get into recovery mode so i can clear cache first before I wipe my device. Tons of pics i haven't backed up yet. You guys are my last hope before I head to Huawei service center in 2 days.
