I have an exynos variant note10+, Honestly, why do you call thid variant "stupid" ? It is as fast as anyone would ever need it to be, all apps open almost instantaneously, it keeps all apps I use in memory, does not kill any process in the background, as for battery, it is good for an entire day, if your uttmost concern are the antutu figures, those numbers fo not reflect actual performance in real life, do I don't see the need to use the word "stupid" to describe an excellent device such as the exynos note 10+

I used to think I had to root my phones to truly enjoy them ....and while I do miss some things...the performance of Snapdragon really makes up for it...

And I do agree that Exynos is still an excellent phone, but honestly, I have used both variants back to back, and there is something just a bit better about the Snapdragon..IMHO....

Well, your post is really an educated, objective opinion, that's how all post should be, not like the useless #40 rude post above

It's nice of you to say, thanks for the kind words - but honestly, I think you are taking his comments too personally. Let it roll off your back, it isn't worth getting upset by it - people buy the phone they use for their own reasons - one isn't necessarily right or wrong, better or worse - they just are what they are.

You don't get it do you. I payed same for stupid exynos as others for sd. And I got stupid slow phone for same money. Imagine that. Not 100$ cheaper, no, same full price for an inferior device. 40.000 points is big difference. And phones thermal design is utter ****. Yes, for 1100$ I found way more flaws then I expected. The camera is mediocre. I'm happy for you, you're satisfied Facebook works just fine for you ?
Almost forgot. Battery is pure ****.

Yes i agree snapdragon is way better like oneplus 7 pro than exynos chip phones. But come on u are living in era whereby every 6 mth or so new technologies comes out. and a post doesnt have to rude just to show your point. honestly i regretted selling off oneplus for a note 10 +. if u really wants a performance and benchmarking is ur thing, go on the oneplus path.

Wow, you and I bought completely different phones - I had an EXYNOS variant for a while - sold it and now have the Snapdragon 5g - and honestly, I loved each of them the same. Camera is great on both Exynos and SD, my battery life is better than any other phone I have owned - it's an amazing phone and the only reason I will stop using it is when the S20 Ultra is released.

Sorry you are having such issues - I have not had the same experience on wither EXYNOS or SD.

Best of luck my friend.

The bigger issue might be, and I don't know if it makes it even worse, exynos is far more capable then it is, and even more then sd. Looks like voltage curve is not so good, and thermal engine might be even worse. I found 2 unused frequencies for the CPU, 2.930mhz being the highest one. On stock frequencies I came nearly identical with sd855 on both cpu and gpu. Now if you factor in "overclock", or should I say unused frequencies, I am confident exynos would surpass sd easily, maybe even sd855+. My guess is, they didn't do it, battery life was biggest concern. Then add overclock to all that. Yea. Now we're in bionic 13 territory. What pisses me most is the lack of big vapor chamber inside these expensive phones. The manufacturing cost is negligible. The benefit, multiple. And I can't wait to put one inside my note and see how it goes. I was making kernel for LG g6, and I know much more can be done to improve both performance and battery life.

coz its all propaganda business thingy. if they for example make a phone that is performing two generations ahead of snapdragon in that case less people would switch swap devices for a newer ones. thats one of the reasons maybe limiting hardware or generally cooling the phones down to increase performance. I dont know why but exynos is just exynos its been limiting things from i think from note 5 time. even if any hackers or developers able to surpass or bypass how exynos behave it would be a so called security issues and samsung would patch it etc2. I do understand you wanna unleash the beast but the beast master is limiting it so yeah haha

I guessed as much. I was able to bring sd821 on pair with sd835 and even better in gpu. I guess, were getting to a point, that devices are gonna be so powerful anyway, that no matter the throttling amount, the device is still gonna be performing all tasks properly. Oh, and one more thing. I was able to "hack" the kernel, so all the benchmarks would get so unnatural high scores, that I even surpassed sd845. I had 310k with sd821 and note had 350k on launch ?

Bellow are screenshots of highest cpu, gpu scores I've got. Could never replicate them again, or get them at the same time. Tho, I found out, enabling "free form window" in dev options, prevents gpu from throttling. But some apps, like geekbench, breaks that option.

WoW... thats some score. I got 472k on my N9750. Did u do anything special with ur phone? :)
Yeah, I just got 461233 on my SM-975U (Verizon) phone running Android 10 with the Jan '20 update.

One thing I've noticed is that we all get somewhat random results where some of our readings are higher than other people's and some are not. I would imagine the only real solution would be to run the benchmark several times and take the average. Or, we can all just add our respective results up and average from there. I'd say on average a Note10+ gets around 470k on the benchmark.

Looks like the binning is pretty "wild".

Someone here is REALLY missing the most important point: the devices are not stupids, they don't think, the user/buyer is the one that has to do the THINKING

Been playing CODM for about 2 hours so the phone is kinda tosty but here's Verizon Note 10+ in a otter box symmetry. Just used smart switch to put everything from my Note 9 on it so definitely could get more out of it if I let it sit and run the test at room temp and maybe do a fresh Android.

481,996 overall. Running great for a 855. Definitely happy with the performance of this phone.
