Several questions:
1) Is there an app that sits on top and shows the current refresh rate? I've seen some guys in the videos showing that.
2) If we set the screen to 96 will it be still adaptive, or will it be always locked at 96?

Was hoping this was for the WQHD+ option. The 120Hz is nice when scrolling really fast but in everyday usage I can't tell the difference. I'd rather be able to watch my videos at 1440p.

Nice! but why do this? Imagine spending so much money on a phone to run it at 96hz
If it's anything like the S20U then it surprisingly makes a significant difference in battery life, and can not tell the difference between 96hz and 120hz. On my S20U I got almost 2hrs more SOT running 96hz. Will give my Note 20U a couple weeks before I post results on the Note20U though.

I guess if the refresh rate was the only reason I purchased this phone.

But also imagine people using the devices they paid for the way they want to.

I mean besides the camera, refresh rate and s pen . This phone the same thing any modern high end smart phone has been doing for a while now lol

But besides the unnecessary sarcasm, as the other guy said. More options are always better, some people are already testing the battery difference. Once I hear back from them, I will post it here.

refresh rate 96 hz

Bonjour ,

So I found this video

It test the s20 at different hz including 96hz.

You save 6-10 percent by using 96hz. Not really worth it if you think about it

For me, the benefit comes in when I can lock a higher than 60Hz refresh rate. I can't much tell the difference between 96Hz and 120Hz but I can definitely see a difference between 60Hz and 96Hz. Ultimately, it would have been nice if Sammy gave us the ability to lock in 120Hz at the FHD setting. Since we can't, at least this allows us to lock in at a better-than-60Hz rate.

je pense comme vous je préfère être en 96 hz ou 120 fixe, que le mode adaptatif pour le moment car la batterie semble descendre assez rapidement sur l'adaptatif , je vais constater la difference durant les prochains jours. :)

Maybe I'm missing something, but can someone give me simple instructions on how to load this?

Thanks.

télécharger le fichier apk sur le lien fourni dans xda de la première page,
ensuite aller dans votre dossier download de votre téléphone, clicher sur le fichier et installer :)

    Hi All,

Seems like Samsung has added some trick to their Note 20 Ultra, beside the Adaptive refresh option.
    = Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a hidden 96Hz display mode=

Normally, adaptive refresh rate from display sesstings in Galaxy Note 20 Ultra allows the phone, based on the actual open application to refresh the screen from 1hz up to 120hz.
With this 96hz hidden option you can restrict the adaptive refresh rate to work from 1hz up to 96hz allowing your phone to prolong battery life.

Probably to save a little battery but still have the option of more then standard 60hz. Having different options is always a good thing.

Thanks. Now only if we could force 96hz and at 1440p.
