I don't want to sound ungrateful, but, Instructions seem straight forward. Is there any other site to get all the files. The last 2 safestrap required files will not download no matter how patient I am or how many times I try. Sites are extremely slow or links not working

Having issues with downloads isn't ungrateful, it's frustrating. The links in the OP are the only ones I know of at the moment. If the Devs OP links aren't working, maybe hit them up in that thread and see if they have an alt link.

I'll look into the SS links as well.

There are probably a TON of N3 users trying to get this before something happens or an OTA removes the ability to go back to 4.3...

Honestly, it was simple enough as-is. I couldn't imagine simplifying it any further.

AZ....would you mind giving me your brief take on the steps to go back to 4.3.
I'm on Rick's 4.4.2 rom right now but the data connection is horrific.
Do I just odin the MJE tar file? Do I do anything before that?

I believe you just repeat the original steps to get root. MJE tar in odin, root, install SS 3.65, flash cust rom.

I'll double check in a few minutes when I get home, there might be a shortcut to get back to 4.3, but i think starting fresh is the best route

Hey guys, im very very new to this rooting. I had a couple questions hoping i could figure this out. Im kind of scared to follow those steps as it says i need a rooted phone to do this. Now i hate to sound like a newb but is there a certain way to root? or do i just follow the odin and use the tar.md5 file and that roots it? im just lost and my phone is now in a state where it says "firmware error please use software to repair".. so anyhelp would be great. one on one help even better. I appriciate it! thanks.

Follow the link in my sig ROOT Note 3. Once you're rooted and have safestrap 3.65 installed, flas any cust 4.3 rom... THEN come back here and follow the instructions to get to KK 4.4.2

I am coming to the Note 3 from the LG G2 and I couldn't be any happier. However, I haven't rooted a phone since the Fascinate.

I was able to get the Note 3 through the early Edge program...if I root my phone I am thinking that I will be screwing myself if I want to get an early upgrade in a year. Can I root and then uproot without Verizon knowing so that I can trade this in if I want to?

JB 4.3 and current KK 4.4.2 NC2 leak can be reverted to oem stock via flashing MJE tar in Odin.

If you take VZW KK ota most believe reverting to 4.3 and possibly oem stock will not be possible.

Bottom line: it's your device, do your homework, stick with 4.3 or beanstown106 4.4.2 NC2 leak, you'll be good.
