Hmmm. Your the second person I know of that this has happened to. I tried to trouble shoot with that user but no luck. You could try to uninstall recovery and safestrap and try a second time.

3.72 is still in beta although a lot of us hasn't experienced this issue.

I got my safestrap from here http://goo.im/devs/Hashcode/thor/safestrap/Safestrap-Thor-3.72.apk
Maybe it is this software. Are the versions all the same. It is the same safestrap icon as I had before. Tried a different one the same thing happened

When this happened to me I didn't simply try to reinstall SS. I actually downloaded it again. Must have been a problem with the first download. 2nd download worked perfectly.

Tried redownloading. When it opened before I clicked on install recovery it already said it was installed. I uninstalled recovery and did it again and restarted still no safestrap screen.

So far, I really like KK on my note 3 allot, but 2 things are bugging me. First, in settings under the "Accounts" section there is a "Backup Assistant Plus" account that I can't seem to remove. I froze the app, but the account remains. The second is I noticed that every now and then It shows "your now connected to WiFi" when I am already connected. I do have it set to keep WiFi on when sleeping. Anyone else have any thoughts?

• Safestrap 3.65 (TWRP v2.6.3.1)
• Neon ROM (4.3) in Stock Slot

So I believe I am covered from your the OG post since Neon is a rooted ROM and I have Safestrap.

As far as wiping the device, in your instructions you say:

- Wipe Stock Slot "Swipe To Factory Reset" (I also wiped INT DATA for fresh start)

I am assuming this is the "Wipe" menu setting and then I do the "Swipe to Factory Reset". Is this correct?

And when you say you wiped INT DATA... is that necessary? If so which button is that under... "Advanced Wipe" or "Format Data"?

I think I got the rest covered...

You are correct. Simply sliding 'swipe to factory reset' doesnt affect int or ext sdcard. Under 'advanced' is sn option to check for int data.

DO NOT WIPE MICRO/EXT SDCARD unless you WANT to delete everything from your ext sdcard.

I followed the directions and got 4.4.2 installed with any snags.

Here's my problem.
Before I followed the steps, I backed up all my apps with MyBackupPro. After the update, when I try to recover some of those apps, they work until my next reboot then disappear. Trying a fresh install from the Play Store at that point gets an error message.

I would not mind fresh installs, but for some apps, Like the Google Authenticator, a fresh install will be a major pain to get working. yes a few apps were smart and have export settings and the like, but not all.

Is there a way to move the data files from the "old and incorrect" location to the "new and correct" one?
I don't mind doing this all manually, but have no idea where to start.

Some users are using TiBu to restore app data only (not system Dats) and not reporting any issues. I went with fresh play install jusg because I'm a wuss and didn't want any issues.

I fresh installed 90% of my apps without issue, but a couple are a problem so I need to see if I can duct tape a way to get the data working.

NC4 right now is ONLY an Official VZW OTA and once running NC4 you can NOT revert back to 4.3 should you have any issues.

The boot loader is incremented so you can not go back, and there is NO root method for NC4 either. I read something somewhere that said if you are rooted on MJEand took NC4 you might remain rooted, but if not, you're toast until some talented dev makes a workaround. BEsides, I'm not totally sure I understood the comment fully, so do your research on NC4 my friend.

It appears if you goof up with NC4, you are on your own and you will go where VZW says you will go until someone builds a bridge so NC4 users can get over it to Rootville

I have tried holding the volume, menu and power up but nothing. Once in a while the phone will respond with 2 vibrations, I think the volume was down. Any ideas?

Your mistake wasn't in Odin, it sounds like something got borked with the rom.

Try pulling batt, boot to download, then cancel, reboot

If you booted into download and still got black screen, you'll probably be better off starting over with MJE in Odin. I'm certainly not the smartest user, but it would likely take less time to start over with MJE, reroot, install SS 3.65, flash cust rom, update to NC2 than to troubleshoot your issues via forum. And you'll know you have a good setup.
