Call recording on Note3 4.4.2 Root

Ive rooted successfully on mt ATT note 3 and ran root checker and passed. My question is has anyone been able to get call recorder apps to work? I still get static noise and these is a MUST have app for me please.

I cant get it to work on my Rogers Note 3.. tried both versions of towelroot. When I click the make it rain button, I do not get the message that "you'll soon have root" or whatever happens, but the phone still reboots. Installing supersu, or other su apps have no effect, tell me cant update binaries. Root checker says no joy. Ive tried clearing cache, but still no effect. My kernel is from Feb, so shouldnt it work?

Help

First i'll try my best witting English, excuse me if i don't make a lot of sense from time to time. I come from a gs3 and a lot of time has passed since i did a root to a samsung phone. Do i still have to use Odin to flash a recovery or SuperSU on this root? (please excuse the silly question, it's better to be safe than sorry) I have a AT&T Gnote3 (SM-N900A) 4.4.2 (NC2) Kernel 722276. From what I read I will be able to root with towelroot, kind of new to rooting the note 3 (plenty of rotting on previous Samsung phones line). Any response/help will be appreciated
