Again, with all due respect.

My .02 on why you get the responses to your posts. You come off a little condescending in a lot of your posts. Makes no difference to me one way or another as I just choose to read or ignore them and go on with my business.

By the way, I have the mega also and though it gets great battery life, it still doesn't match my note 3's or even my note 2's for that matter in this area. Love the mega as it is the screen size I wanted for the 3 but oh well..

I have not encountered any of the issues you have described but wish you luck with getting them corrected if you choose to keep using it.

By the way, why would you want to run either the note 3 or the mega at full screen brightness? I have not encountered any situation that would require that, be that in full sunshine or even under direct lighting.

Max out....

I'm running another battery test as we speak and will post my results at the end, but one question.... why do you think I would make the point of comparison of battery life if I didn't actually get the stated 6 to 7 hours screen tim.... or 24 hrs total time and 5 to 6 screen on at full brightness lol? your response is extra puzzling given you obviously don't own a mega so you can't have any idea or you would know my posted times are pretty much standard across the board for the i9205. But here's a little tuition for ya.... the dual core cpu is b snappy yet extremely efficient on battery life, but the main factor is 720p 1280 x 720 screen resolution on a super clear lcd. Given the fact your not pushing double the pixels across the display matrix means your going to save a vast majority of battery compared to full 1080 resolution. For the same reason that at identical settings the note 2 gets appx 40% greater onscreen time by pushing the same amount of data across half the pixel matrix means your only having to interpolate and display one half the amount of data. Although the case of the mega is slightly different given it runs the newest gen dual core chipset.

I have no reason to bull**** as I don't know anyone on an anonymous site nor do I give a **** what anyone on here thinks. I posted my experience with my 11 flagship devices I have lying around the house in comparison with my new note 3, and my experiences with my note 3 and a few close friends n3s. Period. your mileage may vary.... As these are MY experiences my man take it or leave it I don't really gaf

Mega
Mega,

Still waiting for those battery test results.

I told you I wasn't attacking you; I was honestly curious about the battery life of the mega. As I couldn't find anything that backed up your claim and Mad Max has confirmed he did not see that kind of battery life from his Mega, I still have no reason to believe that was your experience.

And as far as Samsung knowingly, remotely bricking rooted devices - I have yet to see any confirmation of this either.

And lastly, whether or not you GAF doesn't really matter; once you post your experience in a public forum, you're inviting yourself up to discussing and/or defnending the issue. Otherwise, perhaps you should consider starting a blog or something where noone can challenge you.

Again, I'm not attacking you - just discussing.

Battery life of the note 3 has been nothing but fantastic 7 1/2 to 8/12 hours screen time on moderate use. no gaming or anything like that. but sammy stills suffer from certain lag issues. which is horrible. i dont know what in the world they are doing. wifi issues as well. and other minor quirks here and there. which is why i returned mine. will they fix it in an update? who knows. but i am looking at maybe a nexus 5 now. because almost the same specs at half the cost. i cant justify the cost of this phone. almost 800 dollars paid. atleast not now. not until these issues are fixed

Am I the only one that continues to experience stuttering on every single browser during scrolling except Chrome Beta that's almost stutter free?

And am I the only person who has micro stutters during youtube playback every several seconds or so? Audio is fine btw.

I froze so much stuff and the phone behaves the same way. It's really really annoying.

YouTube plays fine here. Not sure what lag is to you but this phone is smooth on everything it does for me except for the transition issue with notifications and music. This is compared to a 5s, 5 and nexus 4. Pretty much the best phone I have seen.

Actually I have zero lag, except maybe when I hit the Gallery or Youtube app icons, and that's very little. The rest of the phone is super fast. All other system apps like the playstore, any settings menu, email, are superfast and scroll smoothly with zero problems.

The problem is the scrolling in the browser (almost any browser) and slight almost millisecond long pauses in youtube videos every maybe 10 seconds or something like that. Just enough for you to take notice, but the audio plays fine.

With regards to the scrolling, you can see it when you flick scroll, not when you hold your finger on the screen and move up and down. Fast flick scrolling looks fine but the medium speed, the speed which I think most people scroll at, is jerky as hell on almost all browsers. Only Chrome Beta comes close to a jerky free experience.

Even Dolphin, which was so smooth scrolling wise on my Note 2 is jerky and stutters when scrolling in the way I described.

The only issues I've experienced are the two I listed. Did you get rid of the Note 3? Because you are referring it in the past tense. There has to be some type of software issue. I hope Samsung will release an update sometime soon to iron out bugs and other performance issues.

Is there anywhere where we can post bugs/issues to Samsung so they can be made aware of a problem? Everyone should report it to them. I just don't know where to report it.

yes i got rid of the phone. it might be ironed out at a later time. but i am not willing to spend almost 800 dollars to play the waiting game. dont get me wrong i am in no way bashing the phone i loved it. but these issues should not be on a retail device. especially the WiFi bug. how long should i wait for a fix. i just dont have the patients anymore for these kind of things like i used too

My G2 was lag free. beautiful phone. but i always loved Samsung products but after knox and region issues. i am starting to look elsewhere. it seems like Samsung fixes lag in one area and makes more in others. i love nexus phones. but theres always a compromise with them as well. curse me. bash me. tell me your going to kill me. but i actually thought about committing suicide and going apple. lol but i am waiting out on the nexus 5 right now

I actually owned every iphone until the 4s. After that I bought the Note 2. I loved the size. I can never go back to a smaller size. This is why I'm stuck with a small selection of phones.

I would have considered the Nokia 1520 but more than half the apps I want/need are just not in their store. I know, I checked. The HTC MAX turned out to be very underwhelming as well. So it was the Note 3 for me. Otherwise I would have went for the G2 or the Nexus 5 as well.

I just don't understand why Samsung allows these issues to let them develop a bad reputation when to comes to lag, stuttering, etc. They can truly make the perfect device but they keep shooting themselves in the foot.

5 inch for me was a truly a perfect screen size . i'll admit i would be scared to go to a smaller phone. i want a nexus 5 but now spoiled with large battery sizes.

For what its worth, I noticed some lag on things like maps when scrolling around. I checked force gpu rendering and it cleared it right up. That said, this is the greatest phone I've owned.

I'm kinda glad to here that other people are experiencing these issues; it's unfortunate for all of us but at least I know it isn't just my device. Hopefully these issues are all fixable with future updates.

I love my note 3 but may pick up a Nexus 5 but isn't the 5 inches really going to be more like 4.7 due to the onscreen buttons (except when full screen watching media)

you can always use the GMD and hide those buttons to get full screen. That's easy fix.

5 inch to me is perfect one hand mobile but Note 3 spoiled me to go to something else.

I haven't read everything in this thread but I just bought puffin browser and it said to uncheck force GPU rendering. Well regarding lag and stuttering it's gone! no more lag when locking and unlocking the phone. Kinda sad that a feature I used a lot with s3 with no lag.. lags my n3..

I was having some lag issues once I started using "My Magazine"

Once I force shut and turned it off the lagging went away. I noticed that my magazine would force close right after the lagging and stuttering
