This is actually pretty cool, since both share nearly identical specs. Anyone dare to try it?Found this on a korean web

not much diff except OIS on camera and note 4 is running on 2.7ghzIs there a real difference between S5 and note 4?. Does it worth the change?
The build quality of note 4 alone is worth upgrading.. It is indeed the best looking Samsung ever.. I have both s5 and note 4 performance wise I would say my rooted s5 with Alliance rom and custom kernel runs way better than note but that should change in the coming months as note 4 gets better rooms and kernel and touch wiz is finally bearable with a few ui tweaks..not much diff except OIS on camera and note 4 is running on 2.7ghz
Snapdragon 801 for S5 and Snapdragon 805 for Note4, should be possible to port it.Note 4, not 3. The S5 has a different processor.
And in any event (sadly) more people like huge phones. C'est la vie.
.
The G906s and G901 have snapdragon 805, the same one in the Note 4. The G906S/K are almost identical in hardware to a Note 4 so should it not be easier to port the ROM?Snapdragon 801 for S5 and Snapdragon 805 for Note4, should be possible to port it.
Toobad no ones has the power to do so.

Actually, SD801(which is simply overclocked SD800) is VERY different from SD805 when you come to porting. Especially when you look at modems. While SD801/800 is All-In-One SoC MSM8974 which has integrated modem (and leaves no room in customization by OEM), SD805 is application SoC APQ8084 and uses external modem chip which can be different and gives a lot of customization possibilities (and makes porting task very difficult). Even for different markets, different modems can be used in Note 4. And by itself APQ8084 has a lot of differences comparing to MSM8974.Snapdragon 801 for S5 and Snapdragon 805 for Note4, should be possible to port it.
