Flash a n-920a

I have the N920A (I believe that's at&t) and i hate the rom on it. Can i just flash the international version on it to get rid of the at&t rom or is that not how it works?

The modem will be up-to date, only the bootloader is downgraded. This is also beneficial for those who want to flash the latest firmware and be able to root it.
Any misunderstanding?
Rather he said to downgrade BL with new firmware as newer BL not allow to root device.
Sorry I misunderstood really :(
If the downgrade works, it is the solution for now until custom recoveries are updated.

May be Samsung need to release latest source code.
Wishful thinking.

I've been requesting the 'i' variant source to be updated for months, the 'A' variant to be posted at all, etc. Samsung is getting worse and worse about it. I really wish some of the android publications would start calling them out on this publically again.. that seems to help.

Do you think we should sign a petition for samsung to open the source? That way they might do it rather than individuals requesting here and there.

Based on what I've seen in the past in dealing with Samsung, I think the only CHANCE is if they are very loudly and publically called out on the fact that they are willfully and knowingly violating the extremely generous open source licensing terms of software they are using.

N920CXXU2APA2 has been released for SM N920C for Vodafone in South Africa.
Does it matter if this is installed on an SM N920C now branded to any network? does it now mean that the SM-N920C will be locked or branded to vodafone if updated to the new firmware?

Firmware can be found on SamMobile

Of course NOT - only some carrier apps will come with it - useless in your case -> uninstall

i really cant seem to remember if, flashing one of the firmware from SamMobile using Odin wipes the internal storage of the phone.

Does it wipe during the process or just simply upgrades?

Thank you.
