Yup... welcome to the Note 7 Adoptable Storage
"Crash & Burn" club! I feel your pain bro, trust me it caught alot of us by suprise & we all kinda wanna punch Samsung in the face right about now. Lol!

This is what we get for "assuming" they had our back. #neveragain
Maybe when root is achieved...wait a minute! I wonder if someone who rooted via the Sprint method can get around this?

Quick question you guys. I'm doing some number crunching here based on what would happen if Adoptable Storage never makes it to the Note 7.

I need to know, what is the actual storage that the Note 7 has LEFT out of the box? I turned mine in and I TOTTALY forgot to check & now I am in desperate need for that number. If someone could help me with that I would be very grateful.
System takes up 11.41 gigs. That leaves 52.59 with nothing on the phone beefier you set it up..

Thanks!

I have decided that although I like Adoptable Storage, I will also like having the upcoming feature of Nougat as well. I have pretty much comes to terms that this will be the future of Samsung Devices = Broken KitKat style SD Card & BLOCKED Adoptable Storage by Samsung themselves. Its only a matter of time before they also block the Modaco Method on the S7 & S7 Edge with any new updates. I even read on the official post's comment section that it was already blocked on AT&Ts S7 Edge (just like the Note 7) with the latest firmware.

Well its a sad day indeed but I guess I will have to get used to it just like I got used to having #noroot when I gave THAT up on my G4.

Adoptable Storage was the best thing that could have happened to SD Cards on Android & it was a gift from Google themselves... what as shame that things had to go this way, shame on you Samsung for going out of your way to block this for those of us that really wanted it.
I'm not at all excited anymore about my 256 gig SD card, lol! I'll keep it, but it would have been nice to use it as adoptable.

I just received my free 256GB card from the promotion and it doesn't even thrill me anymore since I can't use it as adoptable storage!!

Did you plagiarize me? Lol!
Lol...Yeah, I guess I did Raymond. Sorry about that. I really didn't read your post which was just before mines. Either way, I think we both agree that the removal of adoptable storage basically killed all the excitement of our new 256GB cards!

I hope someone finds a workaround.

Well, karma in action I guess... Samsung decided to kill all the excitement our 256GB micro SD cards by removing, then going as far as BLOCKING our Adoptable Storage.... BUT guess what?

EXPLOTING BATTRRIES just killed the excitement of THEIR sales!!!

Goes to show that you just can't walk around pulling off jerk moves and expect not to pay for them. Justice is being served!

Even though I'm an Android fanboy, I hope the new iPhone FINISHES them off next week, this is what they DESERVE for thinking they know what's best for us!!

#finishhim
I doubt that, the Apple crowd has become somewhat bored and restless. That's because they have nothing exciting to offer. Unless Apple has something really fantastic up their sleeve I don't see many persons jumping ship to that limited platform from Android. This will all blow over. Apple had its own exploding battery controversy just two years ago with no lasting ill effects.
