Note 7 Gear VR Working with S8 Plus?

Has anybody tried to use the Note 7 Gear VR with the S8 Plus? Does it fit?

Tried this today.
Technically yes it works. It's a bit snug and feels ever so slightly off center. Other than the above it works just fine with the last Gen Gear VR that promo with Note7

To be honest I thought it was the same. Is it not? The one for the Note 7 was black and came with USB type C.

The new version has slightly different spacing from what I can tell. The rest appears to be the mostly the same.

I can confirm that the Gear VR that became available with the Note 7 works with the S8 Plus. There are two [2] positions that can be selected before inserting the S8 Plus. I use the one closer marked A. The one marked B is too tight and does not work. See image attached.

This is super useful info. Didn't know about the selector. Makes my S8+ fit real nice in the Gear VR now. Thanks
