Note 7 Refund Status?

Yesterday i filled a complaint with the better business bureu. There main office is in Nj so if anyine wants to file check the bbb of nj.

Ive also contacted the attorney generals office of nj and filed a complaint with the ftc. I will be contacting the fcc to see what they have to say.

Samsung have been bombarding me with calls and voice messages to take my Note7 back. So far I've held off because there's nothing out there that can replace N7.

They offered me an S7 Edge same day exchange as a permanent replacement, I said no way! They even sent their collection person who came & knocked on my door saying they've come to collect my N7.

Having read on here that most people are not getting their refunds, I think I will just keep my phone until Note8 comes.

Called T-Mbile to find out if I still get a refund and they said YES 2 days ago. They said I would get back the downpayment/tax and whatever the monthly charges were up until the day when I called, so it came out to close to 400, but they said it would be in credits to the account, which I am fine with either way. Today I chatted with them online instead of calling, and they advised that the recall was finished and that refunds are no longer being given, but recommended I see a local store, so now I am not sure what to do.

I am almost positive you will always be able to get a refund. A Note7 without OTA updates blocked is no longer usable. I don't know about the US specifically, but I know of no countries where it is legal to sell you something, willfully break it (with updates that render it useless) and then walk away. Here in the UK, I have 6 years to file a legal claim if there's any hassle at all. Over here there is simply no question about not being able to get your money back - you absolutely can, at any time.

My only concern is the incompetence of the people in the shops over here who usually have no ****ing clue and will probably mess up the whole process. But other than that, I know I am covered and have the law to back me up if needs be.

My phone shipped in Nov/28 and until this day i haven't received any call or email from Samsung i hope there is way to force Samsung to refund my money back

Called them again. Was informed the the emails were 03/30 incorrect. Checks were cut 03/04. 7-10 business days usps. Then checks show up in the mail Saturday 04/08. These guys are some jokers.

I just returned the phone 2 weeks ago. Do i need to call them and give them the tracking number?
Yeah this thread is most likely dead now. I got my check long ago. I've since owned an iPhone 7 plus and now a S8+. If they sent you the fire proof box my only advice would be to track it, and stay on them about your check once they receive your phone. It shouldn't take as long as it did the rest of us since they have gotten most of them back. Good luck I'm glad that nightmare is behind me. I waited months for my check.

i called samsung 3 times already and they kept saying to wait 2 weeks to receive the check. Now they are saying that i should contact samsung ecommerce dept. I don't know why the refund has to do anything with samsung ecommerce. Anyone still waiting for the refund check from samsung?

How much are they refunding you?

My Q. for everyone. I bought mine back in January from a guy on ebay. But I don't have any Paperwork. How much would Samsung refund me? do they ask how much I bought it for and I can just name a Price? I'm live in Germany. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience? I'm afraid to send my Note 7 in and not receiving anything back.

Samsung will ask you to provide proof of purchase (any, even ebay will do) and will refund what you paid for as long as it's below retail price in Germany when phone was launched last year. This was my personal experience. Had 3 units of Note7, returned 1 to Samsung and also had no proof of purchase- they were very correct and asked me for proof of payment (bank transaction) and an email from the guy who sold me the phone. After 30 days the refund me the value I paid.
