I'm curious about something and wondering if anyone has any ideas. I really want to get on the latest version of Pie (Late I know) and I was wondering if rather than flashing back to Oreo, I could download stock Pie firmware and flash that instead? Since I wouldn't be going down a version, I shouldn't lose data either, right? I'm gonna reach out to someone higher up on this, but figured I would ask around here first. @dj_iiml, since I feel like you'd know the most of anyone, do you have any ideas?
Yeah that's what I was afraid of. As long as I can actually flash to Pie without damaging anything, keeping my data is just a luxury. Unfortunately OTA won't be happening on my unofficial beta build. Thanks for the information!I think flashing a software version risks your data anyway.
Try searching in xda as the are multiple versions of pie available for flashing now and see if there are versions where you could do or without loss of data.
OTA update its the safest method to update without loss of any data
