There's no value from what you're saying either. yea.. moving on lmao
Where's that aggressiveness coming from? People are just saying that forums are a place to ask questions, like there's no need to put down someone's question "because you know and they don't", and then make another person's statement on your attitude 'worthless' by telling them that.

If you think this statement isn't "adding anything, lmao", that's on you.

Point taken. For some this is a learned behavior. Still, it is emotional abuse. I would watch that kind of language. This is a great community. It would be even sad to lose someone to emotional abuse or harassment. Make no mistake. It will not be tolerated. Take the high road. Be the better person. Peace.
Some people would rather just feel better than others before being useful, shame it's like that, lol.

Agreed. We should all be able to share and learn together here without ridicule. Otherwise what's the point.

The note 8 spen fits in the note 9 just about perfect. Tried it at best buy. However I couldn't try the n9 pen in the 8 but I do recall seeing in an unboxing video that someone tried putting the n9 pen in the n8 and wouldnt work. I think its slightly larger hence why the n8 pen will work in the n9(minus the bluetooth features of course). I'd try it myself but my note 9 has been on backorder for almost a month directly from samsung.

I have tested on both the Note 8 and Note 9. They won't work with each other. The Note 9's S Pen can't do anything on the Note 8' screen, even it's just a little touch or swipe.
You may have tried the s pen of note 9 on note 8 while note 8 s pen is inside the note 8 and inverse . There is an option in the settings ,not to react to s pen while s pen is deteced (inside the phone ).
Even note 3 s pen is working on note 8 and inverse .
The note 9 s pen is in the same dimensions and fits perfectly in note 8 i have tried it .
The note 9 s pen is working on bluetooth to control phone its not a new way of communication or special connection between note 9 an its s pen . With some firmware changes (note 9 rom ) there is no reason in the world that the note 9 s pen will not work on note 8.
Except of the charging feature which offcourse note 8 will note be able to charge s pen , no built in charging spot in the s pen slot of the note 8.

Ice checked myself. Spen from n9 working on note8.
Ofcourse to make it work first you have to remove original xd
Only bluetooth doesn't work but I think that this is software solution !
I didn't fit to my note8 cuz there was a ant thief protection xd

My note 3 pen broke down, and I'm tempted to go for a Note 9 pen (probably nice to use with the smaller tip). I've once tested the Note 8 pen, and it slides and stays into my Note 3, albeit sitting in there rather loose. Since the Note 9 pen is a tad bigger, that one might fit more snuggly.
But could one of you guys with a Note 9 please test something for me. If the battery in the Note 9 pen dies, the pen still can be used as a pen. But does the button still work to open air command and do other regular pen stuff with it? Or does that button only work if it's charged up?

The pen functionality is exactly the same, hardware and all. So even after the bluetooth dies the pen works fine.
