I will no longer upload firmware files for the N915F. I changed my phone.

You will not lose your warranty or do any harm to your device if you flash this. Please note that it's only for N915F/FY. Knox stays 0x0.

Install Instructions:
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin 3.10.6
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes

Let the fun begin ... :)
Will probably wait forever for the 5.1.1 kernel source.
I'm curious if this will boot with BOC6 kernel and 5.0.1 bootloader + modem.

Don't have any reason to go back to 5.0.1. There are few visible changes, there's Smart Manager included from S6, and that's pretty much it. The real changes are under the hood, the phone is much faster than before.

Hi guys, is possible to root N915FY with android 5.1.1? I've tried almost all guides that i've found but no way. After flashed the CWM recovery from odin, when phone reboot i'm not able to start in recovery to flash the custom kernel and the super su binaries. Does anyone knows a method that works? Thanks
    Let me make it simple.

Make sure your phone is updated to 5.1.1, either F or FY build.

Download Micky387's TWRP (2.8.7.0), his LolliFamous ROM, and SuperSU 2.52 BETA.

Open up the .zip file for the ROM, extract the boot.img file and put it on your internal storage. Copy SuperSU 2.52 zip to your internal storage as well.

    Open up Odin, add TWRP.
    UNTICK AUTO REBOOT.

Put your phone into download mode.
    Flash recovery.
When Odin shows PASS OR RESET, unplug your phone.

    Pull the battery.
Put it back in, boot into recovery using the following button combo:
Power + Home + Volume Up

Let it boot into TWRP, once it has, press Install, select the option that says Images in the bottom right corner. Find the boot.img file you copied earlier and click on it, it'll ask if you want to flash it as a Boot partition or recovery.
    Choose boot and flash it.

Once that's done, press back, go back to Install on TWRP, select zips in the bottom right corner and find Super SU 2.52 and flash that.

    Wipe cache, reboot.

    Phone should be rooted.

The reason for unticking auto reboot is that if you flash recovery and reboot, Samsung devices will automatically replace it with stock recovery during the re-boot process.

Good luck and let us know how it works out.

We need permissive kernel for root on 5.1.1, so until Samsung releases kernel source, we have no root.
