Filters still not working for me
Camera filters still not working for me. I tried:
1. Re-Flashed Djembey 4.3 MJ5 ROM
2. Flashed "Camera360Pano.zip"
3. After Reboot, the camera icon is messed up and named differently like "com.sec.android.blah.blah" (I forgot the exact name)
4. I then copied the file named "SamsungCamera2.apk" from "Camera360Pano.zip"
5. Used Root Explorer and pasted "SamsungCamera2.apk" to system/app
6. I also copied all files from lib folder from file named "snote-y-camara-note-3" to system/lib
7. I also added and overwritten "seccamera.jar" located under system/framework
8. I rebooted my device and the camera starts working EXCEPT for the effects/filters (FC when arrow is touched)
I do not know what gives so I tried again but this time after flashing Omega ROM V13.1 MJ5 4.3. I only did step 2 which is "2. Flashed "Camera360Pano.zip""
The camera worked after reboot but again effects/filters still FC. So then I pushed "seccamera.jar", afterwhich (rebooted) the filters worked but barely because all preview not previewing as it should, it only opens the sidebar but no preview.
On both Djembey and Omega, the rest of the features worked includling Animated Photo, Smooth Video (60fps), Surround Shot, etc.
I went back to Djembey because Omega ROM Wifi Tethering still not working also for me which I think is a ROM bug which I am too timid to report to its thread because it is already very cluttered.

Yeah effects are known to not be shown. I've been knowing that since I started release the apk itself

helloo again, there needs to be other apks filters ect in the pano zip. like i said previously they work for me but the view boxes have a slight defect when no filter selected but filters work fine. check this video in link and you see what i mean,

Yes biggy, I also get that when I tried it on Indie's Omega Rom v13.1
What ROM or Firmware are you using?
Can you post the steps you did? As in 1. 2. 3. 4. something like that? If its not too much to ask of course.

Hi Biggy, I tried the file you sent which is 30 to 40mb more because of additional apk under app folder. Unfortunately for me, filters still not working (FC).
Maybe it depends on the rom being used (for some reason, its just a hunch). Mine I tried with Djembey and Omega and got it barely working on Omega. Yours is on Goldeneye, I might try that.
But I am very satisfied now because surround shot works. I really don't use the filters anyway.

Confirmed! Everything works on Goldeneye ROM (MJ5) except a very small glitch on effects preview.
I used the file from Biggy but I think the files uploaded here should also work. If Biggy can share it, it would be easier for many. The file is a modified package by LSD, added a few apks and possibly other lib files.
Animated photo works, surround shot, Smooth video (60fps), and most likely the rest of the features. Will test some more if I have time.

2. While still on CWM, flashed biggy's modified zip file from LSD, about 88mb.
3. Rebooted, waited maybe more than 5 minutes as I thought I had a loop on Samsung logo but turned out it went through.
4. Tested camera, all features I expect to work, worked like Surround Shot, Animated Photo, Smooth Video, Etc.
When I click the arrow to show the sidebar for effects, it opens previewing the effects with a small glitch on the preview graphics, but when you select an effect, it preview normally (check biggy's video about this small issue from prev posts).
