Global or EEA?
I was on global 1.1.7, Magisk 25.2, I did not modify /vendor or /system partitions, I did not uninstall or deactivated any magisk module before the procedure. Why is 1.1.8 failing on so much devices? I thought first its because of magisk, but i think not. Does anyone have an idea or a fix for this?
you can use the 1.1.7, i've use it and it works (italy)
i've used the patched 1.1.7 not the fix the stock and it works on my 1.1.8eeaSuccesful update here (Poland). Do you have 1.1.8 EEA Stock/Magisk patched Boot maybe?
Works! Thanks!i've used the patched 1.1.7 not the fix the stock and it works on my 1.1.8eea

It's the same as 1.1.7 EU - use that one.

Doesnt matter, it's also the samewhich one Magisk-Patched_EEA_1.1.7.fix_Boot.img or Magisk-Patched_EEA_1.1.7_Boot.img ?
thankyou so much i installed beta 2 now running fine...thanks againI wanted to try as well, but we missed the opportunity... The check is linked to package "signature" containing date of build...
You can still use the sideload approach i think, but the official release is close...
There will be beta 3 to normalize the update to full Verision for Beta testers followed by full release...
Yep, worked.
tl;dr, if you're getting error 20 or can't update to 1.5.4 (worked for me, might not actually be MGLRU Disabler's fault; rather a borked boot image):
- disable MGLRU Disabler V3
- adb reboot bootloader
- fastboot flash stock 1.5.3 hotfix boot
- fastboot boot patched 1.5.3 hotfix boot
- install OTA
- install magisk into inactive slot/OTA; reboot via magisk
profit.
Thanks @AnotherM1m as always!
Edit: No issues; root works; no MGLRU fixes necessary. They've actually listened. Baffling.
error code -2: pre-build-incremental is different from ro.build.date.utc
.\fastboot boot Magisk_Patched_XXX.img
getprop ro.product.name
getprop ro.product.system.name
