Hi,

I'm interested to unlock my Telcel Nokia Lumia 710.
At this point, I know that it has the Nokia bootloader (DLOAD thing) and I have to put the Qualcomm bootloader.

If the latter, you maybe have baseband/ROM mismatch, where some commands are not recognized -
e.g. the restart. Battery level is also not read correct. The solution is to restore to Nokia loader (only on 710)
and flash some version to make sure ROM and baseband files are matched, then install QCOM and do
the sim unlock procedure.

BR
However, like in the quotation above, how do i know if I have a baseband/ROM mismatch? I never flash my Lumia. Does it mean there is no mismatch?

Some infos (could be useful?)
OS Version: 7.10.8773.98
Material version: 112.1402.2.1
Bootloader version: 7.33.0.0

Thanks for replying ;)

I also have another question: to put a Qualcomm bootloader, all tutorials are speaking of the RM-803 Lumia 710.
Mine is RM-809, will it work?

put your paypal info up so that we can donate for such great work!
Hi,

I try to keep most NSS functions free for everybody. There is only small subset of features that are valuable to proffessional unlockers
and require the annual subscription. If anyone feels that excited and generous he can subscribe, even if the subscription is not needed ;)

Problem in the middle of the procedure

[/COLOR]
Hi guys,

Here the new NSS version (0.50) that allows sim unlock if your Lumia is rooted (710,800). How to unlock:

1. Make sure all drivers are installed, phone is visible by NSS in Normal, OSBL and NAND mode
2. Make sure you have Qcom loader
3. Plug the phone via USB cable
4. Start NSS, go to Simlocks, WP7, press Unlock
5. Follow on screen instructions

Unlock works for PIN and PUK blocked phones.

Regards, Chris
Hi,
Is it possible to restore DLOAD after sim unlocking with keeping my device sim unlocked?
Bph&co, you are genius :). Thanks for your work. :) :good::good::good::good:

hi, thanks for the tools, i can get my phone bootloader, but for some reason, windows does not recongize my 710.

i can't get zune installed, none of the solutions provide MS works, also downloaded a windows portable device driver, my system do not want to install.

Would you by chance have a link to the 710 driver for windows? It seems that i'm missing the driving, so that i can proceed to the next step for unlocking.

thanks

Hi,

I am in the middle of the unlocking process and I have some problem. The program says:

What do the 5. and 6. steps mean? Restoring the phone to the original?? It will make the unlock back or it would take the OS back correctly. So should I do the last two steps?

I need help ASAP.

Thx for your support in advance.

gectra
Its very easy, only have make the same in the step 4 , connect, simlocks, wp7, unlock and when the program ends disconect and you can turn on your phone

and enjoy :)

Sent from my Lumia 710 using Board Express

Hi,

Some people reported problems with NSS phone detection, etc. There was Beta update to address some of those problems, sorry
forgot to post it here. Anyway here the details:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Underpowered computers are unable to read tiny 150 MB partition, error
is on reading FAT16, actual Windows error - insufficient resources

Code:
Looking for NAND disk...Done.
Trying to p**** partition tables...Done.
----------------------------------------------------
FAT16 absolute address: 0x001F4200
FAT16 partition size: 0x0927C000
----------------------------------------------------
Reading FAT16 raw...Error!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Some phones have mismatched baseband/ROM or just old version of the
NCS application (that is the Nokia OEM service that provide diagnostic functions) and are unable
to perform auto restart to OSBL mode

Code:
Looking for phone...Done.
IMEI: 359300045092732
Changing phone mode...Done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking for NAND disk...Not found.
Things to check:
1. Is the phone connected?(Plug to the USB)
2. Is it in the correct mode?(Try to switch to OSBL mode)
3. Have you installed the Qcom loader ?(Use the Install button)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
So if you experience first problem, go to Simlocks->Settings and check:
'Lumia unlock - alternative search for old pc'

If you experience the second problem, check 'Lumia unlock - use manual restart to OSBL mode'

Download

Hi,

hi
This locks in this way the solution, garnish with zune update. Will also be locked?
greetings
No, the phone will stay unlocked after firmware upgrade.

Is there a way to obtain the actual SIM unlock code?
It is possible to be read and decoded, but was too much work. Fooling the phone to accept fake
code and unlock itself (switch the unlock flag) was much easier.

Is it correct to presume that the unlock will be lost if an official stock firmware is subsequently loaded onto the phone?

It has been pointed many times that is not possible at the current moment, sorry.

No, the unlock is in a separate partition that has phone unique encryption and generic flashing can not touch it, it stays the same during the
lifetime of the phone, unless modification is requested via API (enter wrong unlock code, enter correct unlock code, etc). Firmware update updates
only the last partition, that's why also constant data like Product Code, Wifi/BT MAC don't change - phone allocates extra partition for them.

Interesting, and that has been my experience with all unlocked phones previously.

However, when I unlocked my T-mobile branded 710 via unlock code, and then flashed an official firmware from a different provider, upon first boot the phone was re-locked and required me to enter the SIM unlock again.

Is your method effectively different than entering an unlock code?

Hi,

Not sure about that. But will play with this when i have some free time. My unlock is the same as entering original provider code,
i just patch the validity check in the baseband (good guy/bad guy check) temporary, so during entering any wrong code, the phone
is fooled to set the unlock flag.
