Hi guys,

Here the new NSS version (0.50) that allows sim unlock if your Lumia is rooted (710,800). How to unlock:

1. Make sure all drivers are installed, phone is visible by NSS in Normal, OSBL and NAND mode
2. Make sure you have Qcom loader
3. Plug the phone via USB cable
4. Start NSS, go to Simlocks, WP7, press Unlock
5. Follow on screen instructions

Unlock works for PIN and PUK blocked phones.

Regards, Chris
Hi,
I've been trying to SIM unlock my LUMIA 800
NSCD Version: 1.9
SW Version: 1600.2487.8107.12070
HW Version: 112.1402.2.3
Unfortunately it appeared as follow:

Looking for phone...Done.
IMEI:
Changing phone mode...Done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking for NAND disk...Not found.
Things to check:
1. Is the phone connected?(Plug to the USB)
2. Is it in the correct mode?(Try to switch to OSBL mode)
3. Have you installed the Qcom loader ?(Use the Install button)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking for phone...Done.
IMEI:
Changing phone mode...Done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please follow these steps:
1.Power off the phone
2.Remove the USB cable
3. Press and hold the Vol+ Button
4. Plug the USB cable, wait for the buzz
5. Release the Vol+ Button
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Waiting for 30 seconds...Done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking for NAND disk...Not found.
Things to check:
1. Is the phone connected?(Plug to the USB)
2. Is it in the correct mode?(Try to switch to OSBL mode)
3. Have you installed the Qcom loader ?(Use the Install button)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I did all those steps, have tried all normal and OSBL Mode, re-plug the USB and it always appeared the error.

I was having the same Looking for NAND disk...Not found. error as the poster above until I tried NSSPRO on a different PC and it worked the first time and SIM unlocked my phone.

I flashed another stock rom via the downloader tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1665821 using these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29635343&postcount=4

and the SIM unlock remained.

I suppose the true test would be to restore DLOAD and then flash another stock ROM via NCS and see if the SIM unlock remained. (it was always removed via this type of flash when I was using the actual SIM unlock code).

Thanks again Bph&co

Hi,

Quick follow up on the re-locking issue. Sim unlock via NSS is permanent (it changed the simlock area as original operator code does). But
there seems to be a way to relock the phone again, i haven't found the exact mechanism yet(busy with other stuff). So

- after sim unlock and restore the Nokia DLOAD bootloader, phone will stay unlocked
- after flashing with Zune, phone will stay unlocked
- after flashing with Nokia Care Suite phone will relock and will ask for unlock code

Off course is possible to unlock again via root, sim unlock, restore, but is a bit of inconvenience.

perhaps by product code issues when upgrading the firmware for the original operator, you could try a upgrade with a free firmware direct from nokia

Hi,

Some people reported problems with NSS phone detection, etc. There was Beta update to address some of those problems, sorry
forgot to post it here. Anyway here the details:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Underpowered computers are unable to read tiny 150 MB partition, error
is on reading FAT16, actual Windows error - insufficient resources

Code:
Looking for NAND disk...Done.
Trying to p**** partition tables...Done.
----------------------------------------------------
FAT16 absolute address: 0x001F4200
FAT16 partition size: 0x0927C000
----------------------------------------------------
Reading FAT16 raw...Error!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Some phones have mismatched baseband/ROM or just old version of the
NCS application (that is the Nokia OEM service that provide diagnostic functions) and are unable
to perform auto restart to OSBL mode

Code:
Looking for phone...Done.
IMEI: 359300045092732
Changing phone mode...Done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking for NAND disk...Not found.
Things to check:
1. Is the phone connected?(Plug to the USB)
2. Is it in the correct mode?(Try to switch to OSBL mode)
3. Have you installed the Qcom loader ?(Use the Install button)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
So if you experience first problem, go to Simlocks->Settings and check:
'Lumia unlock - alternative search for old pc'

If you experience the second problem, check 'Lumia unlock - use manual restart to OSBL mode'

Download

Regards
I am getting 2nd error:
"Changing phone mode...Done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking for NAND disk...Not found.
Things to check:
1. Is the phone connected?(Plug to the USB)
2. Is it in the correct mode?(Try to switch to OSBL mode)
3. Have you installed the Qcom loader ?(Use the Install button)
"

Please guide me what is "check 'Lumia unlock - use manual restart to OSBL mode'

does your phone come up with a nand disc drive asking it to be formatted in windows regardless if you have the qualcomm boot loader it need to detect the nand disc drive in order for you to flash the unlock

you dont have to run a cfw but you must have the unlocked bootloader to enable nss to be able to read the area where the unlock will happen

1.Do you have unlocked bootloader? If not then, first you need to unlock your bootloader using RM-803.
please see the video for step-by-step procedure:

I have all drivers installed with Nokia care suite, I am using a 64bit windows system everything installed I am noticing that when I connect my phone to Nokia care suite it tells me device not supported so I figure my problem starts there. Zune has no problems.

And bootloaders are unlocked
