I have all drivers installed with Nokia care suite, I am using a 64bit windows system everything installed I am noticing that when I connect my phone to Nokia care suite it tells me device not supported so I figure my problem starts there. Zune has no problems.

And bootloaders are unlocked

when you press vol+ and power short vibration then plug your usb cable in does the computer recognise the phone as a flash disc, if it does then you just need to launch nss and go from there. you say ncs doesnt see your device make sure zune is closed when launching ncs, did you got to the nokia folder in program files and install the x64 drivers.

yes it does recognize it as a flash disc but when i connect it to nss i get this

Modification written. Please follow those steps:
1. Disconnect USB cable and remove the battery
2. Insert not supported simcard and power on the phone
3. If asked for PIN code, enter 00000000
4. If asked for PUK code, enter 0000000000
5. After unlock success, connect to USB, enter OSBL mode
6. Press Unlock again to restore the phone to original

when i enter the pin provided it doesn't work, i am assuming cause the imei read cause not in normal mode, and yes i installed the drivers from nokia care suite x64 files, when i connect the phone via nokia care suite i get the following error
Data package selection failed.
Product code reading failed.
any ideas?

Hi AnarchyNate,
I was excatly got same result on my 32 bit system, but in my case "00000000" worked & i have a unlocked phone now.

I believe You need to install fully unlocked ROM in your phone, If poosible try below steps on a 32 bit system:

1. Download fully unlocked ROM from below Link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?p3318y5l19abb

2. For installing unlocked ROM you have to use Nokia Lumia 710 downloader, download it from the below Link & RUN as administrator:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...0&d=1337618177

3. watch below video for installation instruction:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?annota...&feature=iv&src_vid=kMgshxLOp9k&v=AZ1bWRUIQlo

After installing fully unlocked ROM your phone info should be:
"
OS Version: 7.10.8773.98
Material version: 112.1402.2.1
Bootloader version: 7.33.0.0
"
4. Again run NSS as admin and try unlocking procedure

Hi guys,

Here the new NSS version (0.50) that allows sim unlock if your Lumia is rooted (710,800). How to unlock:

1. Make sure all drivers are installed, phone is visible by NSS in Normal, OSBL and NAND mode
2. Make sure you have Qcom loader
3. Plug the phone via USB cable
4. Start NSS, go to Simlocks, WP7, press Unlock
5. Follow on screen instructions

Unlock works for PIN and PUK blocked phones.

Download

Regards, Chris
Fantastic work. The IMEI unlocker company I tried gave up and refunded me.

This worked like a charm!

Thank you very much for sharing this!

Hi guys!

After reading several posts I understand its not possible to unlock my lumia 710 with the new Rainbow-rom(7.8)..or did I get that wrong?
Do I have to flash a different custom-rom to sim-unlock my phone and then flash back the rainbow-rom? Will that work??

Edit:
OK dont need help anymore ;) ... everything works perfect!

Works only with lumia 710 ;)
Lumia 800/800C can be unlocked, but you have to buy ATF, disassembly phone fully and solder very thin wires to testpoints near flash IC.
It means, that isn't any free way to unlock this phone.

This is to make my Lumia a SIM free to use any other carrier or just when we need to tap PIN or PUK to unlock sim card?

---------- Post added at 10:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:59 PM ----------

What mean #6?
6. Press unlock again to restore the phone to original

I did unlock, I taped PIN so I need to connect again and change mode do OSBL and press UNLOCK second time?

Hi,

I followed the specification, I entered the Pin and said Pin accepted. Then I tried to put different SIM card, Still saying 'No service'.
Help please.

Thanks

Hi,

There is no way to check it so far, unless you flash and check afterwards :)

Nokia Lumia 800 SIM Unlocked

Hi guys.
I spent lots of time and used many online unlocking services without success while I was looking for a way to unlock my Nokia Lumia 800 from Orange (UK). That nearly destroyed my nervous system until I was lucky to found the solution on this extremely useful website. Now I have got my Nokia fully unlocked and I finally can use my phone when abroad/ So, thanks so much for your work and precise guidance !!!

Can anybody tell me if it is safe to get update through Zune software?
