CM 12.1 issues

CM 12.1 by ma34S working fine but some problem I'm facing :
1. Everytime showing roaming 'R' though I'm not in roaming location and touchwiz was not showing either.
2. It is not showing the connection type like Egde, 3G or 4G as represents like E, H or 4G just above the network signal sticks just showing the data up and down symbols only.
3. Battery draining a bit fast.

Q. Expose framework is available for CM 12.1 or any chance of getting in near future ??

I tried the ma34S rom and when I boot up and doing the initial settings I get stuck at the Learn about key features menu. Menu to turn voice control and smart stay on. when I hit next it says unfortunately settings has stopped. Then it just goes back to the learn about key features crap. Tried installing rom via cwm and odin. wiped my dcache ect. Really annoying. please help! Also unrelated but if anyone knows of a lolipop mod for the docomo note edge that would also be awesome!

Way faster than stock and cm UI and features go without saying.

Brought new life to my note II and means I won't need something new just yet.

Easily the best rom for this phone.

Flash latest cm12 rom, flashing his latest kernel, install gapps then enable root from cm developer menu.


The state of stock roms have me thinking the carried put out crappy slow updates that you can't reverse in order to ruin your devices so you pay for an upgrade!

1. Did you flash the ROM separately. ROM and latest kernel. Can you point to me where I get it.
2. Now, I flashed the 28. March built but have problem with the data mobile. It wasn't stable. Is it normal for this built? Do anyone get the same problem.
Tq.

Regarding 12.1, from his site. He still working on data mobile and most of the features. I think it is not ready for daily use yet.

Edit: data mobile was stable after I registered docomo as my network.

can i flash stock rom of GT-N7105 to SC-02E?
i've checked the 2 device and it has same CPU,GPU and Chipset.
or can you point the porting process thanks in advance.

Wifi problem

Hi I found your thread very educational, but my question is how can I fix my samsung note 2 docomo having problem in turning on the wifi ? It stock on the "Turning On" process and it close automatically. I tried resetting the phone to factory yet nothing happen. I hope you can help me with this. :( Thanks

My SC-02E is brick.
docomo -> samsung -> docomo -> samsung
endless loop.

I try to factory reset.
but.....
E:failed to mount /efs (Invalied argument)

Plz help me

I got official firmware from SAMMOBILE.
I installed official firmware using ODIN.
but....
endless loop (TT)

I think I settle it by a PIT file.
but ...
I don't have PIT file .(TT)

Were you installing official Docomo F/W?
Can you remember What checkboxes you had selected on ODIN? You didn't change any default selections?
As for the PIT file, I don't know of anyone who has one that you can flash. And I no longr have the phone so can't really help you with that.

I installed unofficial firmware.
And a brick is being done.
I don't remember a check box.
Oh my god...

Have you tried going into stock recovery and doing a factory rest and and resetting cache?

Something you can try
1. Flash a custom recovery, TWRP would be best, via ODIN.
2. Reboot phone, then boot in to the recovery.
3. Do a factory reset, clear cache etc.
4. Reboot to bootloader/download mode.
5. Reflash the Docomo fw.

    Root Process.

    vipsaviour posted the process here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35727179&postcount=79

    I guess to go over the process again in a little more detail. Currently this will result in a status modified:

    For now do not connect your phone to the PC until your told to by the toolkit. Also just leave your phone turned on.
    1. Download mskip's Galaxy Note2 Toolkit from HERE. This contains all the necessary tools needed to achieve root.

    2. Download the boot.tar created by vip from HERE. Remember to choose the ODIN FLASHABLE download

    3. Run the toolkit.exe and install it on your pc

    4.Once installed run the toolkit, and follow the instructions.
    You will need to update first if you have the donate version, otherwise enter no.

    5. You will then be presented with the device model/build screen. Enter 11 which is highlighted red in the image below (press 'show content'). Next press enter

    6. On the next screen you want to do two things. First, in the image below in red is to install the Samsung USB drivers. Enter option 1 and follow all the on screen instructions to install the drivers and get your device recognized. Once they are installed, you should connect your device and it should be recognised and you'll see the device number like in the image below.

    7. On this screen again the second step, in blue, option 2 is to select to root your phone. See image above.

    8.On the root option page you will want to select option 2 to flash insecure boot.img, and flash superuser and busybox. See image below

    9. Choose you choice of superuser. I personally went with SuperSU by chainfire this time around (option 2)

    10. On the next page enter yes, and then the process is automated by the toolkit. Follow the instructions except where it tell you to select the 'boot-insecure-alij-N7105.tar'. Instead you are going to select the boot.tar you downloaded in step 2. After that follow the on screen instructions.

    Odin will flash the boot.tar and reboot your phone. Once fully booted and you close odin the toolkit will recognise your device and flash su and busybox on it and reboot again and then your Note 2 should be fully rooted, with su and busybox binary, and everythign else working flash, vibrate etc.

    I hope this helps. If anything is a little unclear please tell me and I'll try to elaborate.

    You've been busy, you and Rob. I'll do my small contribution and add them to my community links page, after work, along with any videos you care to post.
    I offered 2 Galaxy Note 2 cases, for anyone who got the SC-02E rooted, so please decide among yourselves who wants them or should have them, give me a delivery address and I'll post them out. They've been opened and tried (for like 3 minutes) but both cases are in new condition, although one box is roughened up.
