For those that want an easier method.

1.) Download https://diegomejia.globat.com/android/towelroot/tr1.apk (Thank GEOHOT, only version 1 of towelroot works)

2.) Install, press button, it will reboot

3.) Download and install SuperSU http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/?id=eu.chainfire.supersu

4.) Enjoy

I used the latest version of Towelroot as of a couple weeks ago and it worked fine.

Not working can`t install mapping failed
It`s working now i used file manager

I couldn't get TR3 from the official site. I kept on getting new chrome beta tabs opening on the download page.

A quick Google search for an alternative download source fixed that. V3 worked fine for me, after restarting the tablet.

I just used SuperSU from Google Play and it worked just fine as well.

You can usw any download manager for the original link. E.g. ES File Manager.
Same Herr, root worked after reboot.

I did this, but after pressing the button it just locks up on that screen and doesn't reboot.

Nevermind, I just read that it doesn't work on Lollipop
