Nvidia Tegra Note 7 [APX] Images

I have only been able to find Advent and Xolo bootanimations on my hard drives and of course the nvidia one and thats it.

Which brand do you have?

Edit just noticed the CM bit if i am right your talking about a Cherry Mobile P1988 varient which isn't supported via this APX image set. So please do not use it. Flashing any P1640 images such as Fastboot will always force your tablet into APX as its the incorrect firmware.

You'll need to contact Cherry Mobile for the APX image or to issue a RMA.

my cherry mobile TN7 is listed as P1640. not the other one, which is P1988. until now still no display on screen. just detected as apx device when connected to my laptop. flashed a couple of times with nvflash, but still no luck.

So I bricked my tablet earlier, and this was the only solution. I tried the default advent firmware, but the "invalid serial number" error came. I then tried the force install with the file edited with my serial number and everything. I was using the 2.5 firmware this time. Everything flashed correctly, but my SN is still the Tegranote blah blah blah thing. I have tried reflashing all of this multiple times to no avail. How can I get my serial number back? I really need this tablet.

@dbarf55 could you PM me with your serial and i can make the relevant file(s) for you. It will need to be the one that came from the Box that the TN7 was in.

Suggestion/help

A few months ago I made a custom bootloader/bios image (the first picture that appears that just says tegra note) To have the nvidia logo

You just need to drag in and replace if anyone wants to use it.

Also my problem being when I bricked my tablet my serial got messed up. I replaced the bit in the txt with the number next to "serial number" on my box and my tegra note still can't find updates, what have I done wrong?

Ok look in the flash_signed.cfg file and search for NCT. This will show the following line

#filename=nct_gp.txt

You then simply change that line to

filename=nct_gp.txt

Then reflash with APX mode. I suggest that you use the 2.5 APX image which is the 4.4.2-2.5 Nvidia version. hope this helps.

Thanks for the bootloader as well might be a fun thing to have and with the ability i have to make a new LBH partition i should be able to make a LBH.img file with that bootanimation.zip file too.

Note it will not OTA to 5.1 at all as its using Advent bootloader files (Which can't be helped as no other OEM has released the APX images). this means that Advent OTA's only for now and they stopped at 4.4.2.

I am looking why this is the case but for now just download the 5.1 OTA on this forum and install via stock recovery for now.

Thank you, I'll try that now, maybe you should make that set like that for the forced flash by default?

So advents fix for lollipop being broke is to stop it, as I have an advent tab and it's updated before. I guess that's all they can do untill nvidia fix it

Hi people, i have a problem, trying to downgrade... and i have apx mode now((
I have Gazer Tegra Note 7
I entered apx mode, installed drivers and then run flash signed. The cmd opens but then nothing follows. No message no anything, Just open cmd window, if unplug gadget window close

Suddenly my wifi got stuck on "turning wifi on" and it's the same even after I've re flashed it....

serial no remained TEGRANOTEGP00A123456 even after changing it in NCT_GP.txt.
I changed and also saved it then double clicked on flash_signed ._forced, my device booted but when i saw in seetings about phone the serial no is still "TEGRANOTEGP00A123456"...

Stuck at APX mode, tablet won't reflash using nvflash

I bricked my Cherry Mobile Tegra Note 7 P1640 Android 4.4.2 yesterday. This is what happened;

1. I hard reset my tablet and used Super Tool 2.0 to downgrade my tablet.
2. Now that my tablet is downgraded, I updated through OTA 2.1. When my tablet restarted and tried to install the update, it showed system error.
3. I flashed back using Super Tool 2.5 and when I tried to reboot, my tablet shut down and power isn't working anymore.
4. My PC detected my device as APX so I downloaded the drivers, installed it and tried the nvflash procedures.
5. If I run the flash_signed.bat, it only shows a blinking cursor screen. When I use the forced bat file, I'm stuck at the "chip uid from br" line.
6. My tablet doesn't power up. It can't go to recovery mode either. Only when I connect it to my laptop does it get recognized as an APX device. The driver is Nvidia USB Boot-recovery driver for Mobile Devices.

I've tried other cables but it didn't solved the problem.
I also tried restarting my laptop and running the program again (WIN7 Ultimate 32-bit) hoping that it may solve the problem but it did't work.
I also tried changing the compatibilities of the bat files but that didn't work.

I've been using Supertools with not much problem until yesterday when I tried to reflash on a failed OTA update.

I'm running out of options. Can anyone help?

If its sticking in chip uid its dead bud. The emmc has more likely bought the farm.

You will need to replace the blob file from the one from the OTA zip file thats on here else the bootloader will not update to the required one. Other then that yep it will work using 5.1 fastboot image. I take it your talking about Tom's full images?

Not sure if its Tom's Full images. Got one from Nvidia site.. The OTA3 updates.. But I think there is some problem with system image, which makes the Tab bricked .. Is there any other working set of images??
