Nvidia Tegra Note 7 [APX] Images

Try the Advent 4.3 see if that helps as that is a stock APX recovery image. If that works then OTA update to 4.4.2-2.5 then flash 5.1, I can no longer help further as i no longer own said device i went and got the shield tablet k1.

Please i have an advent vega tegra note 7 that doesn't turn on. ( the screen is always off and display nothing). When i connect my tablet to windows, i can see my tablet is on APX mode.
I think it's bricked.

I followed all the instructions but when i execute flash_signed , i get the following message :"Can't start to flash. Serial Number is invalid"

Also i delete the last line in flash_signed to keep the SN.txt result file.Here is what's SN.txt contains :

If your device is in APX mode and you doing have a serial from the box then there is nothing you can do other then make a serial up.

There is an example serial in the OP

<name:serial_number; idx:0; tag:0x80; data:0521300014999> (Not my Serial but you should get the jest)

Try that one.

In other words open notepad/notepad++ and open the file NCT_GPT.txt

Then look for the line <name:serial_number; idx:0; tag:0x80; data:TEGRANOTEGP00A123456> and then replace it with <name:serial_number; idx:0; tag:0x80; data:0521300014999> that should help you flash the device.

Also make sure you have downloaded either Nvidia Tegra Note (P1640) 4.4.2-2.5 APX Image (Unoffical) or the Nvidia Tegra Note (P1640) Advent Branding 4.3 APX Image as well as Nvidia APX Forced Flash with Serial Fix files.

i unlocked bootloader and downgraded from lolipop to kitkat after it asked me to reboot i choose yes and wipe data after that it was all black screen!
When i plug it in the pc it showed apex,i installed drivers per instructions all good.
but when i run flash_sighned opens a cmd box and nothing only the cursor blinks.
am i doing something wrong? Am i missing something I m new to flashing and stuff

They never release APX images for the P1988 so your out of luck if your in APX mode.

Hello guys, I need help with my tablet.
Tablet Gazer Tegra Note 7 II (TN750), Windows 10 x64.
Issue: when I tried to return from Android 5.1 to 4.4.2 using Tegra Super tool 2.7 I got a brick, also I saw 1640 in Android system->about.

What I've done:
1. Nvidia APX Unsigned Driver setup - tablet discovered as NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for Mobile devices
2. Unpacked Nvidia Tegra Note (P1640) 4.4.2-2.5 APX Image (Unoffical)
3. Serial number replaced in NCT_GP.txt
4. filename=nct_gp.txt replaced in flash_signed.cfg
5. Ran flash_signed.bat with user privileges = blinking cursor in console, flashing doesn't start
6. Ran flash_signed.bat with admin privileges = blinking cursor in console, flashing doesn't start
7. Unpacked and replaced files from Serial Number Fix
8. Ran flash_signed._forced.bat with user/admin privileges =

1. using Win XP SP3
2. using Win 7
3. remove # from filename=eks.dat
4. change vid & pid to <vid:0x955; pid:0x7535> (values in my system)
5. change version to version:0x00010200 (value in my system)
6. tried from different folder names and directly from C:
7. awaiting more than 20 minutes (no additional output in console)
8. the same using Advent Branding 4.3 APX Image

What am I doing wrong?

Ok have you tried a different cable, also are you running in a usb3 port if so try a usb3 port.

Else if it still fails then sorry my image set will not work.

USB 2.0 on the desktop back and two cables, but I'll find other cables and try again, will try on USB 3.0 also.
As I see several peoples faced the same issue, inexplicably.
