U have partial root with this rom or the cwm ?
And pls try with ficetos kernel first
Now it's starting to annoy me.
Seems like partial root... what should I do?
I've just rooted again by flashing a modified FACTORYFS as explained by Chainfire.

After verifying I had root on KJ1 I flashed AllianceROM N7000 ICS v2.1 Resurrection Edition
Now I get this:

Also can't mount read/write manually in root explorer app.

Thanx alot, now i can safely flash it coming from GB. Only when I click the TRIANGLE AWAY link it stars downloading the Rom again but getting it somewhere else shouldn't be a problem. Thanx for all your hard work!
Respect!

So, we cause a triple murder before breakfast, start a race war before dinner - that's uh, that's a pretty good day.

Just tried restoring a Nandroid backup, it failed.
My rom is still like it was before trying the Nandroid restore.
So my root problem remains the same.
Any help is being greatly appreciated!
Try downloading the supersu cwm zip from here on xda .
This includes the su binnary.

Report back pls

I had no issues at all and flashed it three times.
Real weird !

Like I told you, tried everything I can think of :p
So tried that already.
Seems like CWM can't help me either any more...
Restoring backups didn't work and flashing the SuperSU zip neither.
I'll try flashing KJ1 with modified factoryfs again and restore my old Nandroid backup..
Hope that'll work

Thanks for thinking with me

Robbie, sadly I have to tell you that I've lost root access too.

I came from AOKP, flashed Alliance 2.1 Odin version, after that I wiped everything, flashed Alliance 2.1 CWM version (just to ensure that everything works fine) and then I normally rebooted into system.

I checked with root explorer, I can not mount system r/w which means I only got partial root.

Could you please look into it if you got some free time?

Thanks buddy, I really appreciate your hard work :)

Noticed it as well but forgot to revise the pkst.
Will take the link down i think i made a mistake in the paramfs....
Will rebuild the tar package when i have my connection back next tuesday and will be sure to test rw.
Its weird. U can mount rw at first boot but as soon as u go back it cant remount it anymore ....

For now just go back to a stock rom and root it the way that xda describes it in one of thebposts then if uwant my v2 just grab the cwm for now.

Will notify in this thread when i fixed it.

sorry to say robbie but this rom is quite buggy, experiencing some random restart and i got only partial root. try to fixed it with dr.ketan's way i got my root access but then i lost it again.

the big plus is, i found this ROM has better battery life than v2.1

thnx for your hard work but I'm back to v.2.1 for now..

I'm glad the root problem got recognised :)
I normally never have these kind of problems but I was starting to doubt myself! I'm glad it was not because of me but caused by the rom.
