Hi,

I have an S6E XSG csc device and I was wondering if it's worth the effort to download the latest update for the XEU and flash it via Odin. Would there be successful flash? Would it change the product code of my device to XEU? Is it advisable?

Please help me

Yes there will be a successful flash so long as you have the usb drivers, the latest odin, and flashing through download mode.

Hello

To answer your first question on whether is it worth it, that entirely depends on you, there aren't a lot of new features I think, so it would also depend on which firmware you running

Yes it should be a successful flash, mine was XFV(South Africa) and I got impatient with them taking forever to publish the update, so I downloaded the XSG one, only to realize in a few weeks that they released a better firmware for XFV, so I immediately flashed XFV, then I realized it later when I checked that my product code was changed to XSG, So being kinda worried, I decided to flash the XFV firmware again, that didn't change it so, I decided to factory reset the device, and boot to recovery after setup and it seems like it was then when it changed my CSC back to XFV... So basically, I think it will change your product code, It seems like to change your CSC you just have to boot to recovery.

Hey thanks for the comments. Just wanted to check how you changed the csc via recovery? Is it the normal stock recovery or something else?

Just another quick one...did flashing the XEU software corrupt the IMEI? I'm looking at some links that this could happen...please let me know...basically, by flashing an XEU firmware your phone was still in perfect condition yes!?

Hello

By recovery I mean normal recovery, as soon as I booted to recovery the was a message at the bottom that said something like "CSC applied", I didn't have to do anything special, though I also cleared cache after that to avoid conflicts if there could be any, and My IMEI never got damaged, though I never flashed XEU, but I flashed XSG then went back to XFV and nothing bad happened, so I believe it shouldn't damage anything
