OTA stands for over-the-air, usually used when talking about updates. Your carrier/manufacturer pushes them out to your device to update their software. OTAs don't work when your system is modified, so in post two, to make sure the update from stock is successful (and you get the latest version), the OTA file unroots your phone (root modifies your system and is needed to flash OTAs or custom firmwares thru FlashFire) and then updates your stock. Now you root your phone again and install new ROMs with FlashFire!BTW I am still learning and Unfamiliar with OTA. What exactly is it and is it needed? I tried to do some searching on google but no information came up. Reason I ask is I read post #2 but was unsure what it exactly means and what the proper way to do this is. Since my phone is now working I didn't want to break it just yet again LOL.
