What is the baseband on your device?

right now i am on G935UUES4QC1 which is latest 'U' Firmware i guess.
i flashed the old 'u' firmware u provided earlier and then manual updated through software updates.

it kept erroring out. I think it hung up on the bootloader.

I'm still waiting for the U firmware to update itself to nougat. I might be impatient and just flash over 6.0.1. Question, what are the big differences if any between the USA,AT&T,Verizon version? I just flashed the plain old USA when I got the phone many months ago and haven't noticed any issues. I'm using this phone on AT&T.

Nougat U firmware is up now though

I got the Nougat U installed and I can't get thru setup without the phone constantly soft rebooting to the samsung logo.
I've entered recovery and wiped system and cache. Any ideas?

I have twice. I got 935 U Marshmallow installed and am now upgrading thru smartswitch.

It worked fine for me with a clean install. Once I tried flashing the Eng_Boot, I kept getting the same soft reboot.

The fingerprint sensor doesn't work now, but I have root. Still working on a fix.

hello guys, Please Help!!! so I followed the method posted by the OP and i used the newest U firmware from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...mware-t3570156. The flash failed and i tried to do a hard reboot now I'm stuck with a black screen with some green icon flashing at the left-hand side of the screen every 10 seconds or so. I cannot go into download mode when i try to go into recovery it just shows "recovery booting....." and goes blank again. please help !!! thank you

Does VoLTE work on the latest unlocked Nougat? I saw someone say in another thread that it wasn't working for them. Also, the last time I flashed U over stock I had to flash a bunch of fixes. Do I not need to do anything for this one?

No need to flash fixes as long as you don't root.

I don't own an S7 Edge anymore (upgraded to an S8+) but I will still try my best to upload firmware files.

Hi Folks a bit confused on the upgrade path. I am currently on
Model: SM-G935V
AP version: G935VVRS4APH1
CSC version: G935VVZW4APH1
CP version: G935VVRS4APH1

I want to change to the G935U version. I notice in the original post, there is a link to the Nougat firmware. I have seen some post which say that there are issues in going from 935V Marshmellow to 935U Nougat and the correct approach would be to first upgrade to G935U Marshmellow and then use smartswitch to upgrade to 7.0.

Please adivce if i can directly flash the G935U Nougat firmware on the G935V Marshmellow device ?

EDIT : one more query
Since i intend to use this phone in India, can i replace the CSC with the CSC from the firmware used for a phone in India. I would assume this is not possible because in India Samsung sells Exynos whereas the US version is Snapdragon based. Is my assumption correct ? Is so is there any way to get Indian specific configuration for functionality/apps like Samsung pay ?

Hello, I have 935V and flashed to 935U to use on Verizon MVNO. I am not getting service. Am I not suppose to? Should I flash back to 935V in order to get service? Thanks.

Just to update on this i went ahead and did the upgrade and it all went fine. No issues. I successfully went from G935V marshmellow to G935U Nougat.

I followed this but my s7 still says custom on boot.
