Rooted or non-rooted? Try backing you stuff up through Smart Switch, try to see if you can download the Verizon assistant repair. Let Verizon assistant repair fix any problems, it will work with even U firmware, and see if that helps.

Root is probably causing a problem. What I would do is flash the Verizon Firmare for 6.0 marshmallow, then once flashed, allow yoir cpu or laptop to download the necessary driver for Verizon Assistant. Once Verizon assistant is on, flash to U firmware, then upgrade through smart switch or OTA U Nougat update. Factory Reset from recovery. Set phone uo again, then plug back into cpu or laptop, let Verizon assistant run and see from there.

so what i should do is
-unroot
-flash verizon firmware 6.0
-download driver for verizon assistant
-flash U firmware 6.0
-flash U firmware nougat
-factory reset
-set uo?
-plug my phone to cpu/laptop
-run verizon assistant

is it okay if im just go flash verizon firmware 6.0 from U firmware 7.0?

Yes to flash g935v
Yes to Verizon assistant
Then flash to g935u
Download ITS g935u 7.0 update or try smartswitch
Factory reset or use Verizon assistant it fix whatever problem there is
Even if you have the U firmware and are using it on Verizon, it seems Verizon assistant repair still is able to repair it (if needed).

Try that

I'm new to this firmware flashing. I'm trying to download a 935U firmware from sammobile, but there's different carrier versions for each firmware version, which one do I use? There's even two USA versions, and unknowns. There's also Att, verizon, and Tmobile versions of the 935U firmware. I just want regular stock 935U.

I installed the Nougat 935U firmware on my 935V last week. I used the links on the first page of this thread for Odin and the firmware. No issues so far. T Mobile is my service provider.

Hey guys, I have 935V. I want to use on Sprint. Can I flash 935U or 935P? Also if I want to leave Sprint later, can I just flash back to 935V? Would my IMEI remain unlocked? Thanks!

Hello, I'm really new to rooting. I tried to do a rooting, but ended up in a bootloop. I was able to get it working again by using Nougat. (I used a VAR file before that got me into a bootloop).

Any advice about how to proceed to rooting a phone?

I used G935VVRU4BQA4 to get my phone working again.
