I don't want to insult your intelligence but I thought I would just throw this out there just in case you forgot...

Did you attempt to manually enter recovery by pulling the battery and replacing it, hold volume up, home button, and power button at the same time?

Again, I know, lame question - but sometimes the simple solutions slip by.

no worries... i've tried everything, seems like ODIN wont complete the flash process no matter what i do, verizon is sending me a replacement phone,

p.s. i can only get to download mode, nothing else, and even then it freezes in ODIN...

Hey. An ota messed up my phone. It flashes the Samsung screen rapidly and won't boot into recovery. It does allow me to put it in download mode, but odin won't recognize it. Any solutions?
what happens to the phone when you plug in the charger while the phone is off? do you get a battery icon with charging circle? does the circle move? if it doesn't, then you should probably get a replacement phone from verizon if its still under manufacturers warranty.

It shows the battery for a split second and then rapidly flashes the Samsung galaxy screen.

The only problem I have is Odin won't recognize my phone. What I'm thinking is I may not have usb debugging checked. My phone won't boot into recovery or power on. It only goes to download mode. I have installed drivers. No dice. I have a feeling that this fix is simple. Can anyone help me here?

broken screen, unrooting

I am trying to unroot so I can return for insurance claim (cracked my screen and now the screen doesnt work at all). After i downloaded the alternate file (i did a insurance claim once before for a power button failure, and had to download the OTA update). I unzipped it, opened odin, put it in the pda section, put the pit in the pit part and hit start. There was writing in the box on the left indicating communication between the phone and my pc. It failed and came back with this:

<ID:0/003> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> I605_VRALJB_Restore.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..
<ID:0/003> Odin v.3 engine (ID:3)..
<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Even easier, brake the damn thing so they can't fix it and turn it on. Insurance covers ANY damage to the phone. Then you don't have to figure out how to get it back to stock. It's also more fun to beat it with a hammer :D

If I would have known that before I called and told them its fine aside of the cracked screen, I would have done that. Even though my Note 2 served me well, and deserves better :)

You don't have to do anything for an insurance claim. They don't care what is on it now.

Are you certain of this? May I ask if you have a verifiable source?

I restored Like I have several times .just to get my SD card straight and I made the mistake to accept all the updates after it was stock. And well the mc3 update bricked my phone. It kept blinking Samsung on boot. Anyone have a solution for this?

is there a stock LOCKED (UNROOTED) Bootloader I can flash? I tried to unroot using this and root checker says I'm still rooted...... trying to get rid of all root. thx

Also I fixed my boot loop issue:

The only way I was able to get out of the boot loop is use the PIT file and this file root66_VZW_stock_system.tar.md5

http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-note-2-root/how-to-root-verizon-galaxy-note-2-sch-i605/

Here is where I Found the "pre-rooted" file... I put that in the bootloader section of ODIN along with the PIT file and this fixed my boot loop problem.

Does the version w/o the sboot.bin flash the bootloader to LOCKED / UNROOTED?

So you put the ROM in the bootloader section? That worked? Is always supposed to go on pda. Also the first 3 downloads in the op are full factory images with locked bootloader, the ones labled "download me""mirror 1"and "mirror 2". Is there somethingdifferent you're looking for?

To answer your question, yes and no. The version w/o sboot.bin doesn't lock your bootloader, but you'll be prompted to run one or more OTAs after you're all set up (may need to manually check in your phone settings). The new OTA(s) will re-lock your bootloader (courtesy of Verizon).

Need to verify that it's correct first, but I found the VRAMC3 Odin package. Once I have it downloaded and make sure it's legitimate, I'll upload it and post links here for the package. I'll also create an alternate restore so you don't have to worry about having your phone locked if you just want to go back to stock but remain unlocked.
