re the power button, I too had a difficult power button after. Mine was constantly pressing down, so I couldn't leave it as it was. When I got the new screen it did not include the cable for power and volume buttons so i had to move my original over. After fiddling with it, it just seems there was too much adhesive directly under that button, so i scraped it off right under it and it was fine after that. Volume buttons for me were fine as they were.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes here button works fine but it's much less sensible than before before. I'll try to fix it in a month. I've ordered a back housing from Asia for 17€ if it's good original maybe I'll try to fix it replacing the back housing. Otherwise I'll try to fix it directly in the old housing.

Is not a big deal as a the button is still fully functional and does click. But I miss the original sensibility of that button.

Hi guys, i had to re-edit my post after going through the whole thread looking for answers.

To summarise:

1. If you want to change your battery your best option is to buy Cameron sino(CS) it comes with temp sensor even though it's more expensive than other no name brands.
2. There isn't a genuine OEM battery unless you replace your battery from Huawei service center.
3. Tools needed: Triangle plastic pry tool at least 2, screw driver, tweezers, plastic playing card, a heat gun or a tool with similar function, a thin metal pry tool or Xacto knife.
4. Buy an extra back cover with top camera and bottom covers in case you screw up.

Found this battery which had good reviews and looks similar to CS. Called Cnankcu https://item.m.jd.com/product/10962...are&utm_campaign=t_335139774&utm_term=CopyURL

My battery was dying at 10-20% randomly. Sometimes I got it down to 5% but sometimes it was 15%. Figured after owning it for a good 15 months (longest I've ever kept a phone so far), it was time to just replace it and see if I can get better SOT.

I also got my parents' the Galaxy S8+. I got 6-7hr SOT easily with what I did on my phone and was test driving it for my use to see if I wanted one as well. But I just couldn't get into the phone. So I wanted to put some life back into my Nexus 6P.

I bought this battery from ebay for $10. The temperature sensor works, first thing I checked before putting things back together. It also says "charging rapidly" when charging as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/252482757101?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I used these videos for reference:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWas3cYS_0Q&list=WL&index=28&t=367s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spz9S5aIiJg&list=WL&index=29&t=315s

Just some tips:
1. be careful when you're prying the battery off from the case. It has some super strong black duct tape that I had to use a credit card to push in and wiggle out. I ended up pushing the card in too deep and bent the black cable underneath. You can see the cable I"m talking about here at 10:37 https://youtu.be/spz9S5aIiJg?t=10m37s . Luckily it's reinforced a bit so whew!

2. Just get a replacement back and cover. The plastic piece on the bottom is pretty fragile, I ended up scuffing it with my scalpel. The top glass piece isn't as fragile, but I also ended up scuffing it when I used my scalpel to pry into it to create an opening. The adhesive holding the visor glass and the bottom plastic piece is tape. If you really go in there and pry it out, the tape is going to get all ruffled up. You'll end up having to need new adhesive anyways. Maybe just ruffle up one side and then slowly pry it up. For now until my replacement back comes in, the adhesive on one side is holding both pieces down quite well, nothing is sticking out.

3. Get more than one of those blue triangle picks. They're pretty much one time use, the plastic will deform as yhou're sliding it around.

4. The display has a super fragile plastic border around it. I ended up breaking off pieces of it and didn't realize it until I put everything back together. It probably happened when I separated the back piece from display piece. I'll probably end up breaking other pieces off so it'll feel smoother. This is the one part that isn't easily replaceable, so be careful here.

Update from my end - CS battery after 17 charging sessions shows an estimated capacity of 3575mAh (battery health 104%).

Onto more detail - I was on PN + Flash Kernel using Wingoku profile but something was draining my battery moderately which meant I would get around 3-4hrs SOT. This may not be a direct comparison however I've changed over to ElementalX kernel 4.0.7 using Hawktail profile which has given me a possible 6hrs of SOT (battery drained down to 1% and hovered around there for 5min), HOWEVER, this was only achieved at home on WiFi and phone unplugged for 13hrs. Usage involves WhatsApp, SnapChat, IG, YouTube, web browsing on Chrome, FB on Chrome and Reddit is fun app.

Away from home on 4G, I am on track for 4:30-5hrs of SOT. I am going to wipe my phone this weekend to make way for PN 7.1.2 so will report back how my new setup goes. In regards to EXKM battery monitor, I'm sitting at 17.13% per hour for on screen and idle drain of 1.42% per hour.

TL;DR - New CS battery beats eBay non-genuine units, reports full capacity improving usage, and features a legit temp sensor.

Add another vote for the Cameron Sino battery here. I have no scientific figures or numbers to share as I am currently jumping around quite a bit from ROM to ROM and kernel to kernel. I also have an Android Wear device and have turned Doze off, and spend a lot of time in areas with poor signal. It is, however, the fact that I now trust the device to get through the day without needing to be charged three times that has got me back into the development scene. The CS battery has given the 6P a new lease of life - which is great, because there are no other phones on the market which I currently would consider as a replacement. The new Samsungs and LG are too expensive and I hate the odd aspect ratio screen, the Pixel is too expensive and a screen size downgrade, so what else is there?

Hey guys! Does anyone have a link for the Cameron Sino battery in EU? The shipping costs from the US are crazy high for such a small product. Thanks!
I got mine on Amazon UK (which is at least for now still in the EU :D). Unfortunately the seller doesn't seem to have any left. There are a few other sellers if you search on Amazon UK for the string "Nexus 6P replacement battery Cameron Sino". I'm not convinced these remaining sellers have UK stock, though (my guy did).

having terrible luck trying to buy a replacement! pretty much every option linked to here won't sell to austraila. purchased one from batterybay.net, and they've taken my money, 3 weeks later, still no battery. currently waiting on the paypal claims process. looks like there are a few UK sellers i can get a battery from, at about twice the cost by the time it's shipped here.

honestly starting to think about a new phone instead, this is getting far too complicated, and i'm getting over charging my phone 1-2 times a day.

I had ordered an after market battery to only find out that it is the reason why my phone keeps shutting off at random times... I put the old battery back in and the early shut off issue stopped. Can you guys link the OEM battery please
Is this about the 13$ battery from amazon?

my 6p was bought second hand, and a month after I was using it, it started shutting at around 60%. Now, it has worsened to the point where if I use high voltage(like opening snapchat or taking a photo), it will shut off. I'm not able to turn it back on until I plug the 6p into a port. I was planning to buy a new battery so I got to this forum.

would you still recommend the amazon one?

No amazon battery was garbage... I ended up putting my OEM battery back in there and I'm looking into getting the cino one

So what are the chances of not messing up the aluminum back when removing it? I have the Cameron sino battery on its way from Amazon and the camera glass from Amazon. Also have a Little tool set on the way too.
I really don't want to order the back unless it's completely necessary. Opinions?

The aluminum back is prety sturdy, jsut be careful of the plastic border on the front of the phone. I pulled the aluminum back off without being gentle and broke off pieces of plastic.
