Cameron Sino

Just got my " Cameron Sino " battery and turns out it looks nothing like what was advertised . The battery seems to be OEM and had brand name covered with a sticker I'm guessing to clear customs... It does have a temperature sensor and is charging normally...
Hey I also bought the "Cameron Sino" battery from the same link and received a similar OEM looking battery. How is the battery life, and how is the temperature sensor? Can you describe the overall health of the battery?

The battery health of this battery is at 98%reported on Accu battery now the temperature sensor works as the original battery did and battery life is better than my old battery which was at 76% health

So I got the battery from the second link I posted since it had more reviews, didn't wanna take a stab on the other one. So far I feel that the battery drain is better on this one. Have yet to see the battery life till I get more sessions but it did charge to 100% , it had a thicker cable and temp sensor as well as the drain is going at 1% now vs. the other one I got which went down by 2% and drained heavily.

My new battery's first cycle was full of instant shutdowns. But second and third cycles no issues so hopefully was just the phone adjusting. I never had these issues with original battery so you could imagine my surprise. ??

So suppose you accidentally ordered the wrong battery...not the wrong battery but one youre pretty sure it doesn't have a temp sensor.
This thing's on its way from China and it'll be at least a week (maybe 4 weeks) before it arrives. IF it doesn't have a sensor and you install it, what's the probability it'll potentially damage your phone? Are there safeguards that can be employed to make damage less likely?
Or are we talking about essentially turning this into a Samsung Note where you need to be scared to put it in your pocket?
***I'd add this seller has positive reviews, 1 written, that does state it arrived without temp sensor BUT has been working very well for over a month.

I replaced my battery and had an instant shutdown just after. During the next week, it did it a couple more times with no apparent or consistent cause. I also couldn't power up the phone again without attaching it to a charger. Then, with most of a full charge, I tried taking a picture and that triggered the shutdown. I ended up getting another battery, which has been solid for several weeks now with no shutdowns.

I think the first battery was probably defective, since the seller had good reviews. The second battery looks identical to the first, but I did get it from a different eBay vendor, just in case.

Good luck!

So we just confirmed that the battery is definitely the cause of early shutdowns. At least in our cases and maybe most. If your changing your own battery might be a good idea not too put the phone back together until you can be assured the battery will hold up and works properly. :D

Yeah tbh I never had the early shutdowns till I swapped to a new battery.

Battery 1:
Thin ribbon
No temp sensor
3 OST ~ average
early shutdowns/some apps triggers shutdown where you cant turn the device back on till its plugged in.
big big drain, goes down by 2% at a time

Battery 2:
Thick ribbon
Battery sensor
(havent fully tested OST) does hold a charge on idle
no early shutdowns so far
normal drain, goes down by 1% (works fine)

So we could say that battery is a primary issue and the thing is even swapping it is not guaranteed as you need "good" batteries since they dont provide one for us. The OEM battery seem to get worse and when it hits that year mark it gets crappy. Mine was seeing constant use and eventually had a 1.5 OST regardless what kernal/rom/governor i used etc..

I'm set right now on 6.0.1 but I may install 7.1.2 fresh install to have a.. new phone feel :p

Got a notification from ifixit that the original Nexus 60 is back in stock... Although the price of 24$ isnt something that's interesting me... Any thoughts if I should spend that much for a original

After replacing the battery I got from Amazon JP I must say I'm quite satisfied. http://amzn.asia/2E6uGyp (ribbon is actually thick and has temp sensor).

I replaced the battery, changed out my case and tempered glass and flashed to 7.1.2 stock. Feels like a brand new phone and super quick :p

Its too soon to check OST in my case, day 1 after installing 7.1.2 I got maybe 4 OST and that's with downloading updates/apps/restoring backups. This will at least hold me out till Pixel 2 or whatever I get in the future :D :good:

So I'm guessing If the battery has at least a thicker ribbon it may have temp sensor and if the battery has temp sensor as well as has been made within the a year or two it should still hold good charge. I cant speak for all but the ones without a thick ribbon/no temp sensor seem to have less quality imo. Remember if the temp goes high the hardware is suppose to throttle so it could pose ass a safety issues if it doesn't have one unless the battery temp sensor is just for show and doesn't slow down the hardware.

I too just replaced my battery with a so called "original" Huawei battery. It has a thin ribbon with a sensor. Its definitely better than the stock battery. Only issue is it charger up to 89/91% and stops. Replugging the charger can boost the charge upto 93/96% max. My question is, will repeated ?
replugging of the charger frequently damage this new battery? Its health is at 92% on accu battery.

My other replacement battery kept stopping at 99% and on a rare occasion stop at 100%, now I don't know if it becomes easier after more sessions but that wasnt the case with me. My new battery from day one hits 100% so far :good:

Starting to question the source of the battery degradation issue. I replaced my battery with a Cameron Sino a little over 2 weeks ago, and I'm already down to 94% according to accubattery.

Same here but I was wondering if AccuBattery has something to do. After last week I haven't pay any attention about the battery issue, I was under the impression that my battery has suffered certain degradation over time but nothing extreme.

Last weekend I found out this thread and installed AccuBattery, days after my phone came to 20% and the phone just power off; days passed by and haven't seen this behavior again, until now when happened again.

Obviously I'm not drawing any conclusion but in the same way I was under the perception that my battery was no so good before the AccuBattery installation, in the same way my perception is that AccuBattery maybe hurt the battery too.

Anyway, just ordered the Cameron Sino battery and AccuBattery will remain installed.

Let's see
