I do feel that all this phone needs is something to keep the screen from hitting anything and the camera lens and that a TPU case would be all it needs. I love how the thing looks out of a case, but the aluminum is just a bit too slick and I don't want to risk marring my pretty new phone, durable or not.

The cases I have are nice, the front side edges are raised enough to place the phone face-down on a flat surface.

However, the backside is a different story:
The power button is recessed, but, the case is not thick enough to keep the camera lens off a flat surface, pretty much flush, give or take a .5mm.
You may want to look elsewhere if the latter is a concern.......

Ordered the v20 and this case today : ) Will report back on shipping time 2-4 weeks!

I have a similar case for the G3 and love it. Screen when you open it and no worry about the screen. Dropped it at least 10 times and no damage.

I ordered a cover from Zizo ION. It seems like a cover that can handle my heavy usage :p LOL Pictures Below.

:cool::cool:

I dont have the LG V20 yet (it arrives on 24th) saddly the cover arrives on 28th. So... 4 days without cover is a danger LOL

That looks like a really nice super duty case. I have to chuckle at some of these case makers though. So many have designed the case without the phone in hand and as a result, they all have a button where the back panel release is. I doubt it causes any functionality issues, I just find it amusing.

Yup. As you can see, this one allows you to use every functionality of the phone, including Infrared, and also has dustproof cover. I will report back when i get my phone and the cover arrives on 28th. Im going to not so heavy drop test just to see whether it actually works or not,

Update:
Nevermind, the cover is supposed to arrive on Oct 25th! :D!!! YEEEEEEAH LOL! just after my V20 arrives.

Awesome, also, let us know how much bulk it adds to the phone. The phone itself is a perfect size and too much extra bulk takes it into the hard to handle category. Thanks!

Yeah,I LOL'ed as soon as I got a look at mine in-person.
Guessing something got lost in transalation on the specs/blueprints or the CAD program for the tooling of cases didn't distinguish what the button actually was for.........

Got the TPU Cases from AMAZON (Matte Black & Smoke, the seller calls the colors something else, you'll see which ones I got):

The edges are actually gloss,a nice contrast to the matte finish of the body of the cases. :good:

They probably wanted to add some less slippery edges, given the fact that glossy tends to stick easier to more humid surfaces, or to the hand of the person using it. did you buy it only for scratch? or have you dropped the phone accidentally already? LOL. I mean, when mine arrives im going to drop it from hmmm lets say 2 1/2 or 3 feets in concrete. I dont want to overdo it. you know.

Pretty much for scratch protection, but, any case will absorb/disperse some energy in the event of a drop/fall

LOL,I actually had a 3ft drop about an hour after I had it,while @ WalMart, picking up the throw-away Alcatel.
Luckily,I had it in a neoprene sleeve, lots of cushioning & fortunately,no worse for the wear:

Eah eahhh lucky you hahaha. But, did you see the video of this guy dropping it from about 6 feet? i think nothing might have happened even without the sleeve, of course, with the cover one.

I thought I was all set on cases, just some scratch protection in the form of a minimal TPU case, the phone is big enough as-is without one.
However,in light of recent events showing the camera lens cover is seemingly susceptible to shattering (scratch resistant to a fault,of becoming brittle, perhaps?),I decided to find a case that has a raised edge around the lens cover & settled on the VRS Carbon Fit Series Case:

I like the matchnine line, especially the cardla range.

Got my phone and my case today. (Very fortunate as I thought the case wasn't going to get here until Wednesday and I was going to be nervous.) Picked up the Fusion. Nicely minimal. A little lip around the screen, very little. It's not as aggressive of a lip as the case on my Nexus 6 or the one on my work iPhone. The protective lip around the camera hump is more like it sits flush to the camera from what I can eyeball. Think I might be looking for another case but I guess this one will do until something I like better comes along.
