So I'm starting to see hands on videos and unboxings etc... Have any of them ran an OEM unlock command yet?
I'd be highly surprised if this didn't work.. However, big G have moved the goal posts with this release so will be interesting. So I'm starting to see hands on videos and unboxings etc... Have any of them ran an OEM unlock command yet?
This also^^Eh, to be honest, the kind of people doing these unboxings aren't the kind of individuals who are going to dive into rooting and unlocking bootloaders head on.
Its how you unlock the bootloader. What's so special about fastboot oem unlock? I doubt it won't work this time.
That is what everyone thinks until they change it at some point. You act like they are required by law to have it open.why are people even worrying? its a ****ing nexus device. no **** you will easily be able to unlock it.
Yep, bummer though that you may have to boot up and perform an abbreviated setup to get that checked before unlocking (and thus wiping) it and re-doing it.http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/11/03/psa-oem-unlock-nexus-6-9-requires-checking-box-developer-options/
Looks like it works on both the N6 and N9 (with the above option checked in Developer Options).
Yes the fastboot oem unlock command works, but you have to enable it in the Dev Options. If you don't enable it, the command won't work right and the bootloader won't unlock. So I'm starting to see hands on videos and unboxings etc... Have any of them ran an OEM unlock command yet?
Yeah i picked up a N9 yesterday and noticed that within about 1 minute of using the devices, and i have seen reports of the N6 being the same.Yes the fastboot oem unlock command works, but you have to enable it in the Dev Options. If you don't enable it, the command won't work right and the bootloader won't unlock.
