Is there a reason this option shows up on a verizon device? I know the LG G4 could do it but not on verizon devices so when i saw this here i got confused.
I'm kinda wondering the same thing.
It looks like it's just so a factory reset can be performed.
But also interested in knowing if this will help with rooting 5.1 devices. Think it's dumb that the s6 edge plus verizon has anti root stuff on top of it..

KNOX prevents you from rooting the device. Disabling KNOX just hard bricks the device. I don't think we'll be able to root this device, unfortunately...
