My upgrade is coming in a few weeks and I don't know if I should go to the S4 or Note2...Any suggestions?
I was in your position a few weeks ago. Im glad I chose the S4.
My wife has a note 2. It's nice but kinda big. The only thing that makes the note 2 better is battery life which isnt all that bad with the S4.The S4 has many more features with 4.2.2 but the note 2 has a stylus for handwriting input and 4.2.1 Neither device has photosphere yet but I just found a flashible zip for it for the note 2. Benchmark scores are much higher on the S4.

I have a small crack on my battery cover. It's bizarre. It looks like shattered glass. I'm not sure if I want OEM or custom/metal.

Metal is not good. This phone was designed for a plastic body unlike the HTC One. Metal backs will kill your signal strength. I've seen reviews in the accessories section where dbm went from the -70's to over -100 from the metal backs.

So I pulled my back off to observe the signal strength. My battery cover really seems like just a flimsy piece of plastic and I noticed no change in signal strength. Is it possible they switched to plastic? I just got this device this month.

(Edit) I just realized you were talking about the HTC One

I was talking about the person I quoted. They said they might want a custom/metal battery cover. This phone wasn't designed for metal to be on it. But the HTC One is, it has the plastic in between the frame and antennas placed accordingly.

Lol, oh the things that go on in this forum. Having a bad day? Let me cheer you up. I called Sprint for their opinion. The rep said the metal increases the signal & tried to explain to me how the metal is like a magnet that picks up signals. If that was reallly true, everyone & their mom would have metal battery covers. There's a rep there that knows a few things about rom, rooting & mods. I really hope that wasn't him lol. I've seen hit & miss reviews on ebay. So that's a no to the metal. Then, there's Veriiiizon (insert Mean Girls tone here) with their fancy spancy "custom" S4s. Pfft. All I want is a new battery cover, preferably pink

Lol noooo, I wasn't implying you having a bad day or being rude. When I said the bad day thing, I meant that for anyone, because what the Sprint guy said probably would've made Grumpy Cat even laugh. You weren't rude, at all. It was just for sh*ts & giggles lol it was just intended for a good laugh, no implications.

There's a nifty idea. You would think they would've included it with Knox, but better late than never. I was just watching something on the news about thieves just swiping a device near laptop bags or purses for cell phone data & credit cards. I couldn't believe how fast it happens, too. I need to get myself on of those toys lol. Everything is on my phone, so I look forward to seeing more about this.

I have a question. Why cant we (flashaholics) settle down on one rom?. I my self am very content with my sonic rom, Nottach xposed, and other mods but am always looking for something bigger better newer. Why? Why I ask. Its a freakin phone. Make phone calls, text, surf the net and watch videos. Why do we constantly keep looking for other roms to flash even though the very rom we are on works perfectly and fills our needs. Im just wondering because I see the same people in various rom threads always flashing different roms. Two or 3 a week. Look. Im not saying its bad, I'm just trying to understand the need to look for the something better all the time. I my self am looking at other roms wondering how they are when I think the end result would be the same just minor differences. Just what im think about....
