Can you please tell how you update the kernel? I can't access internal storage on twrp unless i format the data. And does updating kernel solves slow charging issue?

Edit: successfully updated and seems like slow charging is fixed now!

Hiii! I encountered a bug on "Camera Go" w/c is the orientation of the photo using the front camera (using 4:3 ratio) appears to be 90 degrees tilted shown in the photo gallery of Instagram and messenger app. But, in google photos, the orientation is properly oriented. anyway. I like the built-in camera app of this ROM. thank you devs!

The UI, and minimal bug I encounter make me happy. But the battery life makes me want to switch to another ROM (40% to 8 % from 01.00 to 6.00 AM when switched off, clean Install btw)

Same, the 21st updated is kind of draining the battery faster. And one major bug is that if any of you play PES mobile, I'm not able to control the pass like the sensitivity is way high. Kindly fix it.

- Take a backup for safe side
- Boot to Recovery
- Format Data by typing yes
- Flash the latest build
- Reboot

Does this mean i can only flash this ROM using an OTG thumbdrive? Because when i format data, i can't copy the ROM to the phone because i can't mount the data partition even after i reboot to recovery....
What am i missing?

I usually follow the following steps when rooting my phone:

1. Turn ADB debugging on
2. Unlock bootloader
3. Boot to bootloader
4. Flash recovery (Fastboot flash)
5. Boot to recovery
6. Flash DMv.
7. Format data
8. Flash ROM
9. Format data
10. Reboot to system
11. Set up OS
12. Reboot to recovery
13. Flash Magisk to root

But with this phone, it seems like after installing the ROM, the data partition can't be mounted. Even if i don't have a screenlock. This makes it impossible for me to root the phone. I tried TWRP 3.5.2, 3.6 and OrangeFox as well. I'm surprised this is not mentioned anywhere.

What should i do for TWRP to be able to mount the data partition?

Try out flashing DfE (for decryption).
Actually there's no custom recovery which can decrypt A12

Using redmi note 9 charger , the charging indicator shown 36W charging, thats weird since the charger itself is only rated 22.5 W max. Using RN10 Pro charger as included in the box (rated 33Wmax), the indicator only shows 15W

The displayed charging details aren't reliable. I've seen it reported as "Charging Slowly" and it's gone from 50% to 100% in around 30mins. To really measure it, you're better off getting a little USB tester. I've just run it with Elixir v1.3 using both the official charger and a generic QC 3.0 charger.

EDIT: Just in case there are any photo super-sleuths checking this... I quickly (and manually) focus-stacked the images without much attention to detail or cleaning up. It serves the purpose.
