Try the shallow hibernation feature of greenify as it will help you to keep the app hibernated and resume from where you have left that app in the background.

Btw what are your reviews about battery life ?
How much do you get on single charge ?
Thanks!
Regarding the battery life, I am getting anywhere between 2:45 to 3:15 of SOT. This is on a two and half year old battery. Standby times aren't great. My phone manages to enter 'doze' at times but otherwise, the battery drains in a linear fashion. I feel battery life was best on MIUI based on Kitkat.

Same here....
On two year old battery life.
Of course battery life will be great on KK. (But it should not as Google launched later versions like LP, MM & N saying they will give extra battery life than K). Anyway in reality this is not the case.

Where can I read the new features introduced in 14.1
Doea it have multi window?
If it's no time too much trouble.. Can u pls post some screenshots of the rom and the new features.
Must appreciated
TLDR;

CM 14.x features = AOSP 7.x features + CM 13.x features

Detailed

There is no such thing as new "CM 14.1" features. New features are introduced by AOSP (Android) versions. CM specific features as usually dropped across major releases, mostly because equivalent features are added by AOSP. Check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_Nougat for new "AOSP" features.

And the times when new features are introduced, they are announced over http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog but these days new feature addition in CM is rare simply because it's already a very feature rich. So far, there hasn't been any new feature announced for CM 14.

Battery drains very fast. Miscellaneous used nearly 60% of the battery power. I replaced the battery 4 days ago, so it's a new battery.

Code:
Phone Informations
* Model Mi3w
* CM version 14.1-20161115-NIGHTLY-cancro
* Gapps version open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20161111
What you did:
* Wipe data: y
* Upgrade from previous official cm build:n
* Restore with titanium backup: n
You're using (if yes write which one) :
--
Bug info:
* Last version it worked on -
* Repro steps -

I find it better than cm 13. Here is my stat on 15 Nov nightly, charge cycle 90-25 % . Brightness auto and most used app chrome, sync for reddit, Youtube. btw Miscellaneous stat is a misnomer as its just a approximation of actual battery drain and calculated drain.

You shouldn't have wiped everything, you only had to perform factory reset, maybe that's the problem I guess. Try to install MIUI again and then only perfrom factory reset and try to install again, that should work.

At the main screen there is option Wipe and this only wipes data, cache and dalvik = factory reset.
