I had a weird issue where after installing LOS (and Resurrection Remix, for testing purposes) via TWRP, I only got a bootloop (being presented with the LOS logo boot animation forever).

The reason was that I had set up Oxygen OS to require my PIN at boot time. A full wipe from TWRP did not remove that requirement (even though it asked for my decryption password) and LOS seemed to be unable to deal with it.

In the end, I had to reinstall Oxygen OS and do a factory reset from the Oxygen OS settings app, and then I was able to install and boot LOS just fine.

I hope this post helps someone having similar issues in the future.

As has been noted in one or two earlier posts, it is not possible to change the speakerphone volume in a voice call.
In my case, voice call speakerphone volume seems to be maximum (it is painfully loud), and the volume rocker does not change the voice call speakerphone volume at all.

Further detail, in a voice call, with speakerphone one, press the volume rocker. This displays a volume slider bar.
Tap the down arrow at the right end to unfold the various volume sliders (media, ring, etc, etc).
None of these actually change the volume of the speakerphone in the ongoing voice call.

Can others confirm please, and does anyone have a suggestion on where else we might find a workaround for controlling the voice call speakerphone volume until the bug gets fixed?

OnePlus 5, Slate Gray (not sure if the color/RAM size matters, but there it is), OxygenOS firmware from 4.5.10 (I was on that before flashing Lineage OS), Lineage OS weekly build from 11 Sept 2017 (flashed atop first official release Lineage OS building 04 Sept 2017).

thanks,

Anyone running Open Whisper Systems Signal on LOS? Images taken with the camera from within the app flip horizontal... And voice call volume is extremely low.

OWS support asked me if I was running a custom ROM and suggested I update to the latest version... Which is why I'm bringing this up here. But I'm on the latest nightly.

I updated to 9/11 nightly and it fixed the low volume on Signal voice calls. But camera images taken within the Signal app are still horizontally flipped. Are the OWS folks on to something by suspecting LOS?

Is the jelly effect still there ?

If your phone suffers from this, you should have sent it back to OP for a replacement.

Adding to the above; formating your data partition is also another way to deal with this, even after flashing LOS. Happened to me quite a few times.

I haven't unlocked my OP5 yet...wanted to wait for a few nightlies to be released first...is formatting data going to be a requirement when I do unlock? Also, the password that gets asked, is it simply the unlock password you use to unlock the phone?

The encryption key is what I was referring to...no way to get this key? Does it matter if we remove encryption or not?

    F.A.Q.
    • ROOT! ROOT! Give me root or i'll die!!! Where root is???
    • Root has been removed from LineageOS builds, to allow people who are not interested in root access to enjoy apps such as PokemonGo or banking apps. A zip to re-enable root will be provided here. Other packages such as SuperSu, magisk or others are not supported and may cause problems
    • Why no f2fs support?
    • F2fs does not support fbe (file-based encryption) which proved iteslf better than block-based encryption even on f2fs. Due to some android rescue features, an attemp to boot using an userdata partition using an unsupported filesystem may lead to an automatic attemp to format userdata partition (which includes sdcard) to the supported configuration.
    • Why no nightly this week?
    • Build failed. Check again in 7 days
    • Installation fails with error 7, what should I do?
    • Make sure your firmware is up to date. You can find zip flashable firmwares here
    • When do I have to wipe data?
    • You must wipe data only when you're switching from another rom.
    • Will you add <insert awesome feature here>?
    • I won't. Feel free to submit a commit to gerrit, where it will be reviewed.

The LineageOS team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

Hi thanks for rom. I have a question to ask. Recently I have read lineageos 15 is going to start rolling and today on Tweeter i saw few phones started to rollout. Will we also going to get in coming days.

Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs

No. We've just startet to work on lineage 15.0.
Normally it takes a few months till it gets to a state where it can be considered as daily driver.

    12/25 update

Dirty flash seems to be OK as well so far. Will update with more info if something else comes up. So far, no random reboots.

Where do you disable keep awake?

    Cheeseburger, Lineage 14.1

Next build will improve battery lifetime.
