Well I tried to stay LOS kernel as long as I could. Finally gave up and listened to those who installed flash kernel. **** is unreal. Finally, I get a taste of the true LOS cheeseburger. Everything is smooth AF. Battery is UNBELIEVABLE. The OS itself is like cutting warm butter. Feels like the 1+3 days...

I cant post image or whatevs, but I'm still at 33% with 4.5 hrs of hardcore screen on and 9.5 screen off...

Not a clue, but NEVER had this issue with LOS on the 3. However I feel flash on the 5 is running better than 3 now...

I mean stock OOS is better than LOS without any tweaks (battery, camera. Sound, etc.)

Cheeseburger, Lineage 14.1

yeah, hardware should be fast enough to make LOS fly..
hopefully newer LOS will do that!

I flashed the flash kernel and highly recommend if you are having any battery drain issues. Wish I would have done it months ago.

Cheeseburger, Lineage 14.1

I flashed the Flash-Kernel and just after 1hour i recognize a way better battery performance. In CPU-Spy 1900MHz isnt the main used frequenz anymore when the device is in standby. Instead it's Deep Sleep as it should be :)

How many people are actually having the battery drain issue? I am using the 2018-01-01 build and have no issues, phone lasts over 3 days and CPU Spy shows 32% in 300 MHz and 54% in Deep Sleep (higher frequencies are a few % max), which seems normal.

Could some specific setting be the cause of the drain?

Hello guys!
First of all, excuse my bad english, I am a Brazilian user and new to the XDA forum (although I already use it to inform me for some time)

I unlocked the bootloader from my OP5 recently and installed TWRP, crazy to test Custom ROMs, new kernels and more. I installed Lineage OS 14.1 but my fingerprint sensor does not seem to work (or even exist) as a feature. There is no setup for the same on the first startup screens, nor on the configuration tabs after you have installed the ROM. In menus, it has no function, nor as a button for the main menu, does not vibrate, simply has no function!

I performed the following process:
> Cleaned everything: cache, system, date, storage, dalvik, all TWRP advanced cleanup options.
> I installed the latest LineageOS ROM build for the OP5
> I installed the latest GApps for ARM64.

Apparently, there are no bugs, except fingerprint sensors give no sign of existence. I do not know if I made a mistake in the installation or it's a bug, so I researched everything should be working perfectly!

(Forgive me if I created a topic in the wrong way or if this problem has already been solved, I'm still trying to familiarize myself with the forum, anything I've done wrong, I apologize in advance!)

You need to flash the latest Nougat firmware 4.5.15.

Is there any way to turn off the Vibration when unlocking the phone with fingerprint? I dont want to turn it off system wide. I want to turn it off and on individually. For notifications, for alarm clock for calls and so on. For all these things i want to turn off and on the vibration individually. But turn off completely for unlock with fingerprint.
For example: when i configure "total silence" in Menu-Item "Additional buttons", the vibration for unlocking the phone is turned off. But for the whole system too :D

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

You can report bugs on our Jira bug tracker as explained in our wiki.

    F.A.Q.
    • ROOT! ROOT! Give me root or i'll die!!! Where root is???
    • Root has been removed from LineageOS builds, to allow people who are not interested in root access to enjoy apps such as PokemonGo or banking apps. A zip to re-enable root will be provided here. Other packages such as SuperSu, magisk or others are not supported and may cause problems
    • Why no f2fs support?
    • F2fs does not support fbe (file-based encryption) which proved iteslf better than block-based encryption even on f2fs. Due to some android rescue features, an attemp to boot using an userdata partition using an unsupported filesystem may lead to an automatic attemp to format userdata partition (which includes sdcard) to the supported configuration.
    • Why no nightly this week?
    • Build failed. Check again in 7 days
    • Installation fails with error 7, what should I do?
    • Make sure your firmware is up to date. You can find zip flashable firmwares here
    • When do I have to wipe data?
    • You must wipe data only when you're switching from another rom.
    • Will you add <insert awesome feature here>?
    • I won't. Feel free to submit a commit to gerrit, where it will be reviewed.

The LineageOS team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

Hi thanks for rom. I have a question to ask. Recently I have read lineageos 15 is going to start rolling and today on Tweeter i saw few phones started to rollout. Will we also going to get in coming days.

Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs

No. We've just startet to work on lineage 15.0.
Normally it takes a few months till it gets to a state where it can be considered as daily driver.

    12/25 update

Dirty flash seems to be OK as well so far. Will update with more info if something else comes up. So far, no random reboots.

Where do you disable keep awake?

Next build will improve battery lifetime.
