Hello guys,

One app I want to use is gives me a warning about using custom roms and close itself. I didn't have this issue with HavocOS. Is there any workaround for this issue?

Flash magisk and add the app to the magisk hide list to hide root from it.

Or try one of the android 9 ROMs

When i longpress on home and click wallpapers, i have "app isn't installed". It's normal?
I just updated from 20190112 to version 20190221 and I do not have this issue. All working fine, so far.

New question: my Android security patch level is February 5th, 2019, but my Vendor security patch level is June 1, 2018. Using recommended firmware (8.4.19). Can this only be improved by using a newer firmware?

When i long click my home screen, then click wallpaper, my device asks which app i want to launch. Default is wallpapers.

It looks like this app is missing on your device. Maybe it got deleted in a previous version of lineage os, and isn't included in the recent ones, or something? Because it never got deleted on my device, I'm not missing it, but you are...

Maybe dirty flash an older version of lineage, check if you have the app, and then update to the latest version? Or just copy the app from someone ?

HM, to answer my own question, updating firmware doesn't upgrade vendor security. No clue what will ?

This ROM is the most stable rom ever made for Mi6. Only downside is, it is Oreo. If you don't mind it, Go for it. This is most stable ROM. (Talking about LineageOS 15.1 Official)
But usually how does the rom get updates? I keep seeing this builds things and i don't understand them. Are those the updates? Thanks in advance for the time and answers

I m currently on OS miui 10 >>8.0 ... <Install 8.4.19 firmware this build is beta miui 9 ... do I have to install in the recovery necessary... ?
I'm sorry, English isn't my first language, I'm having trouble understanding your question.

Please check the first post, it's still adequate, except maybe the version of TWRP. Coming from MIUI, you'll need to FORMAT data, not just wipe.

If you are on latest MIUI then you do not have to flash a lower firmware version
UNLESS: you get a trust zone error when flashing the Rom. Its not likely

Many thanks can I have the lastest magisk and twrp link? Coz already when I unlocked the bootloader I got stuck on the start then I installed magisk over supersu which give me error in the red' which i did noticed... :(

Honestly you should slow it down a bit then.
Take a min to read more about the process. It is so easy when you know more what to do. Obviously its easier from practice so good to keep trying.
But yeah all you need to do is:

Install twrp from fastboot

Install a ROM

Install gapps

Format data (emphasis on format when you come from MIUI)

Boot

Boot back to TWRP recovery and install magisk

Done

Twrp:

Magisk: 18.1 from official thread

Shameless self-promo:
You can use this video for some reference. Coming from MIUI you DONT want to use migrate and you DO want to format data

(Don't worry if you can't hear me I know the music is too loud. The process is all visual anyway. Applies to all pie ROMs)

No bug reports will be taken into consideration without logs.

    https://github.com/LineageOS/hudson/commit/4d14d1c3e717f94cd8ccf4b937951330862bbe7c

Mi6 has been shipped. Nightly will come on Monday, when 15.1 devices build. Clean flash is needed.

    Battery life problems:
Will not be taken into consideration without an album of screenshots from BetterBatteryStats and a dmesg and a logcat.

The charging and battery drivers are almost the same functionality-wise with stock (the code has been rewritten to better follow kernel programming conventions). It throttles the same as stock at the same temperatures. Go look at the code if you want to find out what exactly is being done.

    "lag" problem:
I have none. If you find a fix that doesn't impact battery life, give it to me.

    China Telecom problem:
We're working on a possible fix, because even with tissot's qti-telephony-common, people reported that various **** breaks all over the place, leading to inconsistent functionality.

Thanks for everyone supporting my work by donating and pressing thanks, I really appreciate it.

Next release will use cust partition as vendor and will be treble compatible.

Note: all went good on exams, and I got good grades.

Changelog for the build coming today:
    * improved goodix fingerprint speed (I don't have fpc so I didn't touch that one)
    * improved screen open speed
    * improved light hal led handling, it's flawless now

China Telecom will probably not be fixed for today's build. We might merge it in time, still unsure because the commit message needs some work.

    EDIT: It has been merged.
