I think AOSP ROMs are getting better, closer to fully functioning state. The main issues I had with crDroid (dual sim related) are gone with XenonHD, one remains (live display settings don't stick) and I've only one relevant issue, right now: wifi isn't auto-connecting to saved networks. Everything else I tested is working fine.

I wanted to try this construction that I've known for a long time, but starting from the last Xiaomi Eu I can't install it tells me that it takes vendor 9.7.4 and I don't know where to look for it, if the maintainer puts the link to this vendor I try to install.

Small update is pushed with FOD properly works in SELinux enforcing.

Also, link to 9.7.4 vendor image just in case anyone needs.
It's extracted from the fastboot image; just decompress it before flashing.
I am trying to move to this ROM from miui.eu dev weekly ROM. I thought it is better to flash a global stable v10.3.4 via fastboot, then flash twrp-3.3.1-3 via fastboot, boot to twrp flash vendor 9.7.4, then wipe/factory reset Data, Dalvik, Cache, System, flash ROM + nano gapps.

However, after doing all of that, when I boot into Xenon HD, the rom boots up fine, but there is no option to add a google account. I tried number of times, also tried reflashing gapps, but nothing seems to work. How do I get Gapps to work on this ROM ? any help is greatly appreciated ! thank you for working on this device

try factory reset + format data after flashing rom and gapps, and then reboot
gapps variant shouldn't matter

I tried to install the latest version 18/8 but the gapps I can't install, I tried to download two different packages, to install them after the restart but with no result.

I've Just installed the rom and I really like it. Smooth and quick. Great Work! I only have 2 "Problems": statusbar's height is too big.
Wideangle camera doesn't work, neither with ported gcam, nor with Xiaomi stock cam.

I am having the same issue. We must be having something common in the flashing process..
  1. I start with Fastboot 10.3.4 (EEA stable miui), wiping internal storage.
  2. Boot into fastboot again, flash vbmeta using fastboot disable-verity disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
  3. Flash TWRP-3.3.1-3 (released on 2nd Aug) using fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
  4. Boot into TWRP, wipe Dalvik, Cache, System, Data and then flash vendor 9.7.4 zip (downloaded from firmwares thread)
  5. Reboot into TWRP, wipe Dalvik, Cache, System, Data and then flash XenonHD 18/08 build and nano gapps
  6. Wipe (factory reset option in twrp) and reboot (i tried with and without this additional step with same result)

With the above steps, I am always ending up with a ROM that does not have gapps. The setup takes me through XenonHD steps but thats about it. None of the gapps are installed. Can you share what you are doing please, so that we both can try and figure it out?

It works thank you and okita!
Did you start with clean flash of 18/08 build or just upgraded from 15/08 to 18/08 ? please can you share the steps you followed ?
@krasCGQ The above steps I mentioned work fine for CrDroid ROM but dont work this one. I think this could be a rom specific issue that comes up only when clean flashing the latest build ? tonight I am going to try flashing 15/08 first, then gapps and then upgrade to latest to check if this is a clean flash issue.

I never flash them all at once.
Flash an item -> back to flash section and repeat.
