So. I think I figured out the issue. Nothing to do with the kernels but with the double tap to sleep on status bar. Disables this and no issues... So far

That may be true with Okita (I don't use that feature so I don't know). But with built-in kernel, phone freezes with that disabled. I'll try later using just power button, see if it makes any difference.

A more comfortable way to avoid hardware buttons to turn off phone is long press home button...

I didn't experience a "freeze" as such. Phone would go black and pushing the power button would flicker the screen on then off and do this repeatedly until you have to hard reset.

Tested PE stock kernel with power button to sleep. Didn't make any difference. Never had one single black screen event using okita or kowalski.

September 3 build is up!

Edit:
Forgot a thing, you can't flash newer vendors (especially August to the latest) and expect it to work with any AOSP builds.
Why? Beg Xiaomi to release updated kernel source.
it is necessary to have a new vendor ?
Looks like audio issues on the new vendor is not happened when calibration stuff is loaded inside q6 (which is causes panic if it's builded as inline)
ugh, this techpack things is headache.

[*]Allowed vendor version(s) starting this build: China developer 9.7.4, EEA stable V10.3.4.0.PFBEUXM.
Is the vendor in the rom or do you still need extra flashing? Where can I find the new version?
if the vendor needs to be manually deployed, does the vendor partition need wipe?

I desperately try to flash the sound mod AINUR Narsil with this rom, which used to work on every other device I owned before.
But whenever I flash it via Magisk and reboot the device it gets stuck in a bootloop.
I got the ADB logs from the bootloop, maybe someone can have a look and see if this is a rom issue?
Thanks in advance!

It is working for me on crDroid with a workaround I just found. (see below)
crDroid is the only rom which is booting after installing AINUR but it used to break the speaker sound, all of the other roms I tried including XenonHD ran into a bootloop.

I will try in the next days if the workaround is solving the bootloop as well. It's just renaming/deleting of "mixer_paths_overlay_static.xml" in sbin/.magisk/modules/ainur_narsil/system/vendor/etc/
Problem is I have no access to this file via twrp, just via root explorer, which is pretty difficult if the rom isn't booting up ;)

Is the incoming calls issue solved?
Idk.

No vendor included. Can simply flash without wiping.
