Why don't you try this TWRP?

---------- Post added 21st August 2019 at 12:34 AM ---------- Previous post was 20th August 2019 at 11:47 PM ----------

From my experience, TWRP by redispade is good for backup and restore, not so good for flashing zip files. I had issues flashing vendor + firmware from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com in the past (I haven't tried the latest version, so I don't know if these issues are solved). I've never had issues flashing with krasCGQ's TWRP.

Also, I'm on 10.3.4 eea stable since day one. I never needed to flash vendor version 9.7.4.

I tryied from 10.3.4, and from 9.7.4, the same twrp than you, both experiental and official, and every gapps from pico to mini.
Can't understand what is happening....

I'm actually using this ROM since yesterday, because I wanted a working SIM management and crDroid was not doing that, and I can say it's stable, light and fast. Battery is happy and so am I. I updated via OTA :D and the bugs I've found seem to be solved. Auto-brightness is more stable and the crash when setting mobile network type is gone. I'll test fingerprint.
PS - I've installed the ROM on top of eea stable 10.3.4.

can you put some battery usage screenshots? :)

Here's how I installed:
1 - flash 10.3.4 eea stable with Xiaomi flash tools
2 - flash twrp from krasCGQ with fastboot
3 - reboot to recovery and format data + factory reset
4 - reboot to recovery and flash XenonHD
5 - reboot to system
6 - reboot to recovery and flash pico gapps + faceunlock.zip.

That's how I made first install. After that I installed via ota with only wipe cache and dalvik. But I always have to come back to recovery and reinstall pico gapps + faceunlock.zip.

2 questions: wich XenonHD ROM did you flashed? And when you rebooted to system at step 5, you let it start until it ask language and then reboot to recovery? Or you started setting up the system?

Confirmed...and fixed. ;)

Long story short... grus-p-oss (tag for Mi 8/9 SE) missed exposing flash node for the ultrawide camera causing camera to simply crash. It was added and fixed on pyxis-p-oss (tag for Mi CC9 and the Meitu Edition), which I imported and tested some of the changes.

I have installed it today. How can I set the ultra wide mode with the cam? I only have video, camera and panorama option available?
And strange filters like sephia and so on...

You need to use MIUI camera or Fu24's Gcam build. Though, capturing with the sensor crashes the app on the latter one.

good evening folks, first at all, very very big thank's to our developer and his work, and second thank's to xiaomi for the Mi9 SE :D
this rom is really awesome i like it but unfortunately i can not activated VoLTE ( no root and XenonHD kernel ), i have strong signal with the setting " LTE " but the code *#*#86583#*#* has no effect. with MIUI all works fine !!!
any suggestion or ideas  i have many testet but without success !
i want use this rom as daily driver but without VoLTE its not possible.

maybe APN is the key ? or magisk module ?

p.s. internet over LTE works perfect.

cheers :highfive:

I have had trouble last night, phone alarm doesn't came up and the phone doesn't respond to incoming calls. (Should have had my coworker picked up).
Phone was incredibly slow and also a call was not possible for me. After reboot it was possible again to calling. Did someone see something like that?
sadly there was no helpfull log entrys nor a /proc/last_kmsg. Only a lots of hal errors in adb logs

Another question. It is possible to select if an app can use mobile data or wifi or nothing. Can I change this for all apps in once to block and allow after that only some apps?

Small update is pushed with FOD properly works in SELinux enforcing.

Also, link to 9.7.4 vendor image just in case anyone needs.
It's extracted from the fastboot image; just decompress it before flashing.
