Flashed this from latest 5.0.8, encrypted. Flashed in TWRP, then followed by TWRP afterwards. Says data decryption unsuccessful upon rebooting, TWRP is prompting for password.

Any ideas?

You need to completely format your internal memory to boot this ROM on unlocked bootloader. This is a known bug on Pie firmware.
The real issue is, you'll have to format your internal memory again if you wish to go back to Oreo OOS.
Other solution is, you can re-lock your bootloader and flash it with stock recovery. But relocking bootloader will wipe internal memory too.

So, wipe internal memory either way? To clarify, you mean data + sdcard files (photos, music etc.)?

Yes sir! This happened to everyone blindly flashing the first community beta thinking it will work anyway. Then we realized that the problem was the new firmware. It doesn't like unlocked bootloader and would not boot your internal memory encrypted on Oreo OOS. It will require you to format your /data, remove encryption, and then boot to re-encrypt using new pie firmware.

Thanks. I have gone with the prompted "format phone" upon booting, hopefully that does the trick. Seems to boot okay.
