1. It is official
2. Nope
3. Don't know, you should at least have TWRP 3.3.0.1, that worked for me.

Hi!
I could not find any information regarding this. Did anyone successfully flash OOS 9.0.2 on top of OOS 5.0.8 with TWRP 3.3.1.0 and unlocked bootloader?

Yes, but there is a catch. You need to flash a modified firmware zip with bootloader and keymaster from OOS 5.0.8 else the installation would corrupt your internal memory and you'll have to format it.

I have a Oneplus 3 with stock rom, no root and unlocked bootloader. Can I dirty flash this stable Pie rom via the updater (Settings -> Update system -> Select local file) or via official recovery without losing any data?

If bootloader is unlocked and you have an encrypted internal memory, then no, you will need to format your internal memory. Or you can actually try and let us all know what happens. Make sure to backup your internal data though.

I used the guide for updating to Pie without losing internal memory and it worked. All you have to do is flash that extra zip file.

The strange thing is now that my mobile internet is not working anymore... Very odd. Anybody seen this?

lol. You can use that modified firmware zip from nvertigo. It is tested by me personally and works fine. I can use 4G but I will going back to Oreo OOS as Pie has many things I really don't appreciate and Oreo OOS was way better imo.

yeah, me, too @abhibnl.
Can I just flash my Nandroid backup and be done with it to get to Oreo?
My phone has been sooo unstable all day. 20 reboots and huge hangs that can only be dissolved by shutting the phone down and rebooting.

I actually never restore any nandroid backups. I'd simply flash OOS 5.0.8 full zip and start fresh. Since I got my new 50Mbps broadband, I just download all apps again and restore data using TiBu, if required.

Thanks. That´s good that I can just go back easily.

Update today. I turned off "Adaptive Battery" and since then it´s been actually stable. Let´s see how it goes. Otherwise I´ll revert.

The battery drain is insane. Im now 3h away from my charging port and im already at 49%!
The GooglePlayStore is nearly unusable, he has just a white screen in the most cases so i have to restart him over and over again till he works properly.
And if i start the recovery mode im again on the old TWRP v2.0

Is auto brightness working fine in this version? Heard about some issues with auto brightness so wanted to confirm with the users here?

I agree! Fresh start means: no problems! (but a little work ;))
