It's working with FBE. I am not sure about FDE. Most A12L encrypted ROMs are FBE anyway.

ok, thats it, it suppose to be same lock, but unfortunately twrp still bugged with that, its suppose to be the same to decrypt in twrp as in rom, but it dont work for me too, if you remove screen lock twrp will decrypt without problems

I am using A12 (Lineage 19.1) with FDE. I have been upgrading since A9 or A10. As far as I know there is currently no recovery at all that can decrypt my data.
It doesn't work for me either. I have a F1 that is in bootloop and relies exclusively on TWRP to be able to recover my data. Hopefully @REIGNZ3 can solve our problem, although I know there are few of us who are still having problems with decryption.It's actually not working on my side. Have you guys somehow managed to decrypt without having to remove the password (I can't remove it, as I don't have access to the system, but I do remember the password?
In my case, TWRP recognizes that the password is correct and tries to decrypt (FBE), but after two seconds TWRP restarts again without decrypting and asks me again for the password (a PIN).
there were a zip that removes the password, unfortunately i can't find it, it may not need to system be decrypt because is a zip like rom, and even before decryption were available it worked...

Oh, you said FDE. Well most encrypted A12 ROMs are FBE.
You should do clean install at some point to move to FBE since I read you are upgrading since A9.
